We had an inauspicious start when we tried and failed to cancel a reservation, but everything afterwards was great. The staff were friendly and went out of their way to help us out with our issues; we were originally concerned about sharing bathrooms, but were pleasantly surprised to find them sparkling clean and usually free for us to use. When our shower head broke, we just had to use the common shower, which was absolutely fine. The accommodation wasn't luxurious, but it was simple, elegant, and of great quality - plus, they have a range of room types depending on the budget. We were particularly fond of our little balcony, which we used every night. We would definitely book again, as this is a great and affordable way to experience Barcelona.
I absolutely loved my stay here! The ability to have fresh orange juice each morning was great. During our week-long stay, we enjoyed a well-balanced breakfast with a mix of yogurt, crunchy snacks, fruit, toasts, Spanish fuet and cheese, and cupcakes. To top it off, we got to have our breakfast in the cozy backyard. Our room had a balcony with a nice table and chairs, and it was cleaned daily. It was also very conveniently located with only a 7 minute walk to the Paseo de Gracia subway station that can take you directly to the airport, Girona, or Figeras. It was also a 7 minute walk to Gaudi's House Mila and Casa Batllo, making it the perfect place to start exploring the city. I had a fantastic stay here!
Staying in this guest house in Barcelona's city centre was a great experience. With many attractions just 20 minutes away on foot, it was ideal for us. We did have a slight hiccup upon booking our room - we had selected a smoking room with balcony, yet were instead given a non-smoking room without balcony. However, a terrace was available which closed at 10PM, making it difficult to smoke after this time. The kitchen was also linked to the terrace and had the same availability. The shower had good pressure but the water was cold for a few moments before it warmed up. Lastly, the walls were thin, meaning we were often woken up by people talking and walking outside.
