The stay was ?? overall, but a few things ?? I experienced. The air condishioning ?️ is definitally an ishoo ? so I wood suggest possiblly booking a lower levil ? room. We had muliple ishus ? and had to move ✈️ 2 times to get a room that was workin ?️ RITE ? and we just got bak. I can't imaginge ? what the sumer months would be like. But the staf ???? is amazin and the owners should be very thankfull ? that their hospitality is stelar ⭐. My suggestin ? to the owners invest in a new cooling sestem ? as well as a keyless entry ? option since the cards are sensetive and it was anoying ? havin to go get a card every time it wasnt workin ??.
The staff at the front desk were incredibly accommodating and helpful during my stay. As I do not speak Spanish and this was my first time in Barcelona, I greatly appreciated their assistance. The rooms were immaculately clean and thoughtfully designed, providing a truly enjoyable experience. Overall, I had a wonderful time.
My experience at the Catalonia Passeig de Gràcia 4* Sup Hotel in Barcelona was overall quite pleasant. The hotel itself was lovely, with a great location and a beautiful terrace area complete with a pool. However, I do have a word of caution for those considering staying in an interior room. Unfortunately, we were assigned an interior room for our first night and it turned out to be uncomfortably hot and stuffy, despite it being November and not high summer. The air conditioning didn't seem to be functioning properly, only recirculating the same hot air. Thankfully, the staff were extremely accommodating and were able to find us a better room for our second night. They even went the extra mile to check in on us and make sure everything was to our satisfaction. This gesture was greatly appreciated and added a nice touch to our stay.
During our recent trip to Barcelona, we were fortunate to stay at a fantastic hotel. Our room had a lovely balcony that overlooked the street and offered stunning views. The room itself was spotless and cozy, providing us a comfortable stay. The staff were welcoming and accommodating, making our stay even more enjoyable. We decided to book for 2 nights before our cruise and 2 nights after, and we were delighted with our experience. We would highly recommend this hotel and would love the chance to visit again in the future.
During my recent stay in Barcelona, I unfortunately experienced a theft of some of my belongings. One of the items that was taken was a necklace that held a lot of personal meaning for me. This happened while I was staying in room 410. I regret to say that I cannot recommend this hotel due to the unsafe environment for guests' possessions. The necklace was not the only item that went missing, as other pieces of jewelry and my phone charging bank were also taken. Needless to say, I was very upset and disappointed.
Upon reporting the incident to the day manager on Sunday morning, October 15th (2023), he appeared genuinely concerned and even went to the room himself to check. He also printed a photo of the missing necklace and supposedly showed it to other staff members to see if anyone had come across it. It is unfortunate that my review might reflect poorly on this manager, as he seemed to genuinely care. However, some other staff members, namely one man who made a passive-aggressive comment when we were leaving the hotel, saying we should "double check we have everything," did not handle the situation as professionally. It seems clear that if I had simply "lost" the necklace, it would have been found during the alleged thorough search of the room by the staff.
Furthermore, the previous night, I had complained about some noise coming from the room above, which seemed to be a leak. Another staff member at the front desk had dismissively asked me, "what do you want me to do about it?" I just wanted a quiet place to sleep, as I had paid for a room for that exact purpose. It was only after a bit of arguing that a solution was finally found.
Given that maintenance and cleaning staff had access to the room, it is uncertain who else could have entered and taken my belongings. Whether it was the fault of the hotel staff or a matter of negligence, it is clear that the safety and security of guests' possessions was not a top priority. This incident has greatly affected my trip, especially as I had booked it to celebrate my birthday. The necklace that was taken holds far more sentimental value than its retail worth and its loss has left me devastated. It is disappointing to experience such a violation of trust in a hotel that has a good reputation.
