Our stay at this hotel was fantastic. The staff, particularly Vanessa, were helpful and attentive throughout our time there. Despite a minor technical issue with our booking, the staff were quick to resolve it and make sure we were comfortable. The only suggestion I have is for the hotel to consider allowing early check-in for guests with early flights on Sundays.
I recently returned from a 4-night stay in Barcelona. The accommodation was exquisite and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was generously sized and the bed, along with its high-quality bedding, provided a level of comfort that was unmatched. Additionally, the location was convenient, being within walking distance of popular tourist attractions and just a 2-minute walk from the airport bus stop. If I ever find myself in Barcelona again, I would not hesitate to stay here and I highly recommend it to others.
During our trip to Barcelona, we had a bit of a mishap and missed our flight. In a panic, we walked into the hotel and were greeted by a lovely staff member named Kryzzle. She went above and beyond to accommodate us, providing us with two rooms on the same floor for our family. When we asked if we could extend our stay by one more day, she informed us that the hotel was fully booked but offered to help us find another place to stay. She even arranged for us to move to another hotel, the Catalonia Sagrada Familia. When it was time for us to check out, Kryzzle arranged for a taxi to take us from the Square to the Sagrada Familia. We were truly grateful for her exceptional customer service and willingness to help us during a stressful situation.
Last year, I spent five nights at this hotel and had an excellent experience. Naturally, I decided to return this year for a one-night stay before my cruise. However, I was disappointed by the difference in service. The hotel is in a convenient location, close to Catalunya square and two metro stations. It's also within walking distance of upscale shops and a variety of restaurants. The Junior Suite was spacious and had a comfortable king size bed, as well as a separate sitting area and a bathroom divided into three sections. The TV and WiFi were also satisfactory. However, the customer service this year was lacking. Despite being a Catalonia Rewards member, I had to wait three hours for my room to be ready while others who arrived after me were given rooms first. Moreover, when I asked for an extra luggage rack, I was denied, even though they had provided one for me last year. The staff seemed uninterested and there were few smiles or greetings. On check-out, I was surprised to be told to find my own taxi instead of having the hotel hail one for me as they had done in the past. The most concerning issue was that my credit card was charged the full amount of my stay before I even arrived, which resulted in an extra $15 USD due to exchange rates. Despite contacting the hotel via email, I never received a response. Overall, if you prioritize a good location over being treated as a valued guest, this hotel may be for you. However, I will be searching for a different hotel for my next visit to Barcelona.
Located just steps away from the bustling square, I couldn't have asked for a better location. The service was top-notch and our room was generously sized. For an added touch, I highly recommend booking a room with a terrace. I am already looking forward to my next trip to Barcelona and will definitely make staying here a top priority.
