We had a wonderful stay at this accommodation. The rooms were quite modest in size, which is usually the case. The property was in an ideal location for traversing Barcelona. Moreover, the staff were incredibly hospitable. I had booked online so I got a free breakfast - quite unexpected. It wasn't the most luxurious meal, but it certainly was a nice beginning to the day with some sandwiches and pastries.
The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The gym was well-equipped. My room was on the third floor and had adequate air conditioning, though I recommend having it running during the day. Unfortunately, the breakfast buffet was closed, but there did seem to be a small breakfast section for 7 euros, or you can always head out to a coffee shop or bakery. The wifi was reliable and the rooms were clean. My only complaint would have been not finding out about the closed buffet earlier. Aside from that, it was in a good location and was quite affordable.
We had an amazing stay at the Hesperia Barcelona Barri Gòtic Hotel! Upon arriving at midnight, we were pleased to find that they had a room for us for 4 nights. The room and ensuite were spotless, and the amenities provided were top-notch - in-room safe, TV, hair dryer, great shower and bathroom, clean linen and towels daily, and comfortable single beds put together. We felt as though the hotel was more like a 4 or 5 star than 3. The selection of breakfast items was amazing but the price at 16 euros was a little steep. Fortunately, the coffee shop right off the reception area was a better deal, with a cheese salad roll and coffee totalling at 6 euros. The staff were so kind and helpful, booking tours for us without hesitation. We'd highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again!
Let me just say how delighted I was with my stay at the Hesperia Barcelona Barri Gòtic. The pictures did not do the hotel justice - everything was even better than expected. The rooms were warm and inviting, with plenty of space and light, and the views from the balcony were stunning. Plus, the door to the bathroom was actually repaired during our stay, giving us the extra comfort we needed. All in all, I'd highly recommend the Hesperia Barcelona Barri Gòtic to anyone looking for an enjoyable stay in Barcelona. There's nothing quite like it!
I've been staying at the Hesperia Barcelona Barri Gòtic for a few days every year for the past 10 years and I must say, it's been a pleasure. The staff are super friendly and helpful, while the breakfast is a great way to start your day. The hotel rooms are on the small side, but they still have everything you need and the central location is great.
