Staying in this hotel is a great budget option in a prime location. I only stayed here for one night due to a pre-booked stay at another hostel, however I had a pleasant experience. The staff were very polite and spoke English with ease. I would definitely come back for a longer stay in the future. Greetings from Barcelona!
This accommodation had a serious ventilation issue. Without proper air circulation, the room was unbearably stuffy and smelled unpleasant. There was also a major issue with noise isolation- we had to check out just fifteen minutes after we arrived as it was far too uncomfortable. This was not the ideal lodging experience we had anticipated.
Would not recommend this place, even though it's cheap. A group of six of us was given a room that could only realistically accommodate four people. There was no air conditioning, just weak fans. The wallpaper was peeling and there were no windows whatsoever - just a weird corridor that reeked of cigarette butts and had an unpleasant smell that reminded one of a corpse's armpit. The showers were dirty and rusty, leaving you feeling dirtier after the shower than before. Other bathrooms had awkwardly cramped toilet cubicles in the same room as the showers. The extra star goes to the door man who stayed up late to let us in and waived the late fee. It almost would have been more comfortable to sleep on the streets that night, but this horrendous experience set us up for a great holiday and for that we are thankful. If you want to appreciate what you already have, then go here, but if you're looking for a pleasant stay, then maybe look elsewhere.
I had to stay in a hotel that was pretty underwhelming. The room didn't even have any windows and the air conditioning and ceiling fan were the only source of ventilation. The bathroom was unsanitary, with moldy walls and ceiling. Even the shared bathrooms were cleaner than ours. Under the bed there was dirt and debris leftover from previous guests. The staff could have been a bit more hospitable too.
This accommodation offers a great price/location ratio. With the understanding that the conditions are Spartan, you will find basic amenities such as a shared bathroom, vintage decor, and Wi-Fi. The good news is that the reception is open 24 hours and the site is no more than a short walk away from the Sants train station. All-in-all, it's an acceptable deal for the price.
