We stayed at the Hostal Live Barcelona for 4 nights in February. Its location was excellent, however, the room exuded a very strong body odor. Though it was a good deal for Barcelona, it seems as though it had been used by some rather smelly people in the past. We strongly advise against taking room 15, which was right next to the reception on the first floor. The walls were quite thin and had no sound insulation - everything could be heard through them. Overall, it isn't a place we'd recommend.
When booking this hotel, it was made clear that taxes were included in the price, but upon checking in, visitors were asked to pay an additional fee of €49 for four people. Despite voicing complaints, the extra tax was not refunded. Additionally, there was only one blanket for both beds.
