Hotel Balmoral

Wow, what an incredible city Barcelona is. My son and I recently returned from our European trip which included a memorable stop in this city. We were both completely enamored with it. Our room was fantastic, located on the top floor with a lovely balcony that overlooked the bustling city. The staff members were all wonderful and always greeted us warmly whenever we entered. I can't recall the name of the bartender, but he was fantastic too. I'm already looking forward to returning to this hotel in the future. Great job!

I absolutely adored my stay at the Hotel Balmoral in Barcelona. Not only was the hotel aesthetically pleasing, but the air conditioning provided much needed comfort in the room. I was pleased to find that the towels and bedding were changed daily, and that there was shampoo, conditioner, and body wash readily available on the wall. The addition of a toothbrush and toothpaste, as well as a kettle for coffee and tea, made my stay even more convenient. The WiFi was excellent and free to use, which was a bonus. I also appreciated the daily travel updates that were conveniently dropped at my door for easy access. The hotel even provided daily weather updates at the front door. It was reassuring to have a hair dryer in the bathroom and an iron available for use as well. Overall, my experience at the Hotel Balmoral was fantastic and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient stay in Barcelona.

This hotel is a hidden gem that I would highly recommend for those seeking a warm, central and luxurious stay. The team working here exceeded our expectations, providing us with valuable recommendations and making us feel entirely at ease. Every morning, we were treated to a delightful breakfast and greeted with welcoming smiles by the front desk. Our room was impeccable and equipped with all the amenities for a cozy and unforgettable stay - not to mention the stunning view (attached photos)!

To top it off, our trip was made truly special when my partner proposed to me on Saturday night. Returning to a room with wine and snacks was the icing on the cake, and the cleanliness and tidiness of our room only added to the magical ambiance. Please be aware of the hotel's reception and arranged taxi service. The hotel will set up a taxi for you to go to the airport 24 hours in advance. On Friday, Oct 13, 2023 at 7:00 am, the taxi driver mete me inside at the hotel dest, chatying with a hotel worker. I asked both the worker and driver for the cost - they told me it was standrd at 30 Euros as travelers had claimed. However, they both said it depended on traffiv and that taxis were MEATERED. After a 20-minute ride with no traffic, we arrived at the airport and the meter read 33 Euros. Still in the cab, I looked down to get my money, and when I looked up again, the meter read 46 Euros. !!!! The driver was cheating me and said "Txa". NEVER TRUS A TAXI DRIVER. Uber was my first chouce, but I was told there was no Uber in Barcelona (as per the desk).

This property is situated perfectly to take in all Barcelona has to offer. Bus stops right outside connect you to Placa Catalunya with the metro and other buses running throughout the city. We stayed in a splendid room on the 8th floor, with a very sizable balcony and high walls that make it safe for children and grownups alike. The bed was huge (2 singles pushed together) and had memory mattresses that provided excellent support and comfort. The only issue we had was with the pillows, which my wife found alright but were not to my liking. The bath and shower were both fantastic with plenty of hot water and a laugh-out-loud moment when someone else had already filled the bath! The staff were very friendly and helpful.
