We went to Barcelona for a mid week break and stayed in Hotel Balmoral. We had a very warm welcome when we got there and the bar staff were so friendly throughout our stay. The rooms were spotless and, despite having an interior room, there was plenty of space and it was so peaceful. The staff attended to the cleaning everyday and provided us with fresh towels. There was a really extensive room service menu, even though we didn't end up needing it, and the minibar was well stocked. The location of the hotel was superb, it was only a 30 minute walk to La Rambla and 20 minutes to Familia Sagrada. We would definitely recommend a stay at this hotel, it was a perfect place to explore Barcelona from!
We really enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Balmoral. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, particularly Giuliana at the bar. She was more than accommodating with our needs, providing us with directions and general tips on the best places to visit during our stay. The amenities in the hotel were great and the rooms were comfortable and spacious. We had a fantastic time and will definitely be returning in the future!
There are no kettles in the rooms which I found strange, but the reception provide one to you if you ask.
I had a wonderful 3 night stay at the Hotel Balmoral. The room was spacious, comfortable and extremely clean. Being provided with a separate wardrobe and small seating area was a much appreciated bonus. It was incredibly easy to walk from the hotel to the main attractions in the city, such as the Boqueria Market, the Arc de Triomf, the Ciutadella Park and Port Vell - although I'd highly recommend taking a good pair of trainers or walking shoes. The staff I interacted with were always friendly and welcoming. I was even given a map when I arrived, though Google Maps showed me the way without fail. Also, I decided to use the room service on my first night, which wasn't actually part of the hotel but outsourced to an external company. The food was really delicious, even if it was a bit pricey, and the delivery was lightning fast. My only minor issue was that there were no kettles available in the rooms, but the reception are more than happy to give you one if requested.
Upon checking out we were handed our bill, however they had charged us for a second room key and the safe which we hadn't used and were not aware of and the staff didn't explain the adds on which we should have been made aware of beforehand. All and all the room was beautiful and service was good, however we didn't get what we thought we had paid for. The room was noisy and the fee on arrival was unexpected. We had a good stay but it wasn't what we expected.
