Hotel Casa Bonay
About
The 4* of the moment
Opened in May 2016 Casa Bonay is one of 4 stars most amusing of the moment in Barcelona. Admirably well located on Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes, it is at only 10 minutes walkinf from Plaça de Catalunya, far from the tumult but not too much. One appreciates this more and more trendy district of Sant Joan. The hotel, with its bars, restaurants and its famous “Libertine” parties is by itself a place of attraction, very quickly adopted by locals. Do not hesitate.

I had an amazing stay at Hotel Casa Bonay! The atmosphere was great and the rooms were cozy and comfortable. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious. The hotel's location is ideal for exploring the center of Barcelona and for getting around the city quickly and easily. Highly recommended!
We booked 5 rooms for 13 people for 3 nights to celebrate a hen party. We all had to individually pay for our rooms which took far too long. The reception area was tiny and the rooms were incredibly cramped. We had already pre-booked our meals at Bodego on Saturday afternoon but it still took an hour for our food to arrive, which messed up the rest of our plans for the day. We'd also paid to have the terrace area on the roof for our hen do, but when we headed up to our room all of our decorations had been removed. The nightmare really began when 6 of us got stuck in a lift at 2.45am, the receptionist was inexperienced and made no attempt to ensure we felt safe and cared for. We were stuck in the lift for 40 minutes and the female receptionist had the audacity to ask us how we were going to pay for some pizza we'd ordered while we were still stuck in the lift. I spoke to the manager the next day, however he didn't seem very concerned about our ordeal and didn't offer us any kind of compensation. I pointed out that their website says they are committed to promoting responsible practices, but this clearly didn't extend to us. Breakfast service was slow and the bar staff at the Libertine bar lacked enthusiasm. All in all, our stay was far from satisfactory and we will not be recommending this hotel or returning in the future. We hope the management will take our feedback seriously and make changes to ensure this sort of experience never happens again.
This hotel was perfect! Everything was just right- rooms were small but so well thought-out, we had an awesome balcony with an amazing view, and the Libertine lounge was ideal for starting off the evening with awesome cocktails. We also managed to reserve bikes from the place and it was so easy and a great way to explore the city. Highly recommend!
This amazing accommodation has it all. The house, the location, the concept, the food, and the drinks – they're all top notch. The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating, and the overall atmosphere is one of a kind. Even though this isn't the most suitable place for a family holiday, we were delighted to return after 6 years, this time with two children, and were made to feel really welcome.
The staff here were incredibly kind and helpful. The decor was comfortable and cozy, and the hotel was conveniently close to the subway, shops, and eateries. I would definitely suggest it to anyone who is planning a trip to Barcelona.
