We had a great experience staying at Hotel Ciutadella Barcelona. It was clean, comfortable and the staff could not have been more helpful. The hotel was close to the port, with public transport just a short walk away. All amenities are nearby; shops, bars, restaurants and even supermarkets. The staff were extremely professional, booking a taxi for us to the airport and were very quick to react when my wife realized she had forgotten her purse, containing her passport, money and credit cards. When we returned to the hotel they had already checked her room and found the purse, with all of its contents intact. We couldn't have been more relieved. We have to thank the staff and the cab driver for the amazing service we received. Hotel Ciutadella Barcelona is definitely a hotel I'd recommend to any tourist looking for a great stay with attentive service.
Stayed at Hotel Ciutadella Barcelona for a few nights and it was a wonderful experience. Room was superbly decorated and had all the amenities one could want. The staff were friendly and courteous, and the breakfast was delicious. However, the whole experience was slightly marred by a phone call at 2am today (my birthday). The reception had received a complaint from the guy below us about noise, although we were fast asleep. In fact it was the shutters of empty rooms that were blowing. The reception should have checked before calling us, as it really scared me and ruined my birthday. A really poor show, really. Overall, great hotel but needs more care to ensure guests' peace and privacy.
I had a delightful stay at Hotel Ciutadella Barcelona. The service was both friendly and professional. The rooms were clean and well-appointed. Not to mention the location couldn't be better for exploring the city and its many sights. I was even allowed a late check out and got to switch rooms during my stay. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a great stay in Barcelona.
