During our recent week-long stay in Barcelona with our family, we had the opportunity to experience a hotel that offered convenience and some enjoyable features, but unfortunately, also some concerning issues that hindered our overall satisfaction. One of the hotel's positive aspects was its strategic location near the metro and Las Ramblas, making it easy for us to explore the city and immerse ourselves in its lively atmosphere. We particularly loved the stunning views from the rooftop pool and bar, which provided the perfect setting to unwind after a day of sightseeing. The staff working at the bar and restaurant were also friendly and accommodating, making our dining experience a pleasant one.
However, our initial disappointment with the hotel stemmed from miscommunication regarding a rollaway bed for our child. Despite our efforts to request for one, we were informed that it was not possible. This put us in a difficult situation, and we had no choice but to book a different hotel. Thankfully, upon our arrival at the other hotel, they were accommodating and we were eventually able to stay at the hotel we had initially planned for. On top of this, we were disappointed to find that the complimentary water provided upon arrival was limited to small bottles and that we had to pay for water for the rest of our stay. Another concerning incident involved returning from the beach one day to find our hotel room door wide open. Although nothing was taken, this lapse in security was alarming. While the reception apologized, we expected a more proactive response or investigation into the matter. Moreover, the front desk staff seemed aloof and distant, barely interacting with us during our stay. A warmer and more attentive approach would have made us feel more welcome.
In conclusion, the hotel we stayed at in Barcelona boasts a fantastic location and appealing amenities, such as the rooftop pool and bar. However, our overall experience was dampened by miscommunication and poor handling of our rollaway bed request, limited complimentary water, a security lapse with our room door, and unresponsive front desk staff. With some improvements in communication and guest services, this hotel has the potential to be a top-notch accommodation option in Barcelona.
During my stay, I found that the rooms were quite noisy, as every sound could be heard. Additionally, the reception staff seemed a bit unfriendly when I requested certain items, like an iron and ironing board. However, the hotel's location was fantastic, making it easy to get to the town centre. Overall, the price was reasonable, but if you're seeking top-notch service, you may want to consider another hotel nearby.
This establishment truly impressed me as a solo traveler. Its prime location and close proximity to all of Barcelona's main attractions make it a perfect choice. The accommodations were charming and safety was a top priority throughout my stay. I highly recommend this hotel. Furthermore, the breakfast selection was superb and the rooftop pool and bar were a refreshing escape from the hot weather.
? We were less than impressed with our initial experience at this hotel. The first thing that caught our attention was the stained garment at the end of the bed. We were even more disgusted to find ?️ not one, not two, but five long hairs on the bed. It definitely didn't give off a clean vibe. To top it off, a strange smell wafted from the bathroom, similar to sewage. ? When we brought it up, the staff said it could be due to rain, but it hadn't rained in Barcelona for a whole week. They attempted to fix it by spraying something in the bathroom, but the stench returned after just an hour. Overall, our stay was far from pleasant. ❌ Would not recommend.
Our visit to Barcelona was a new experience for us. We had numerous options for a one-night stay in the vicinity, but our proximity to the bustling cruise port (only a 20-25 minute journey) limited our choices. The hotel's location on one of the city's main shopping streets, Calle Pelai, was definitely a highlight. We took advantage of this prime spot by exploring the vibrant streets and sampling some of the fantastic restaurants in the area. Inside, the hotel had a modern and clean aesthetic, despite being an older building. We were delighted to find that the hotel had its own restaurant and bar, but the real standout feature was the rooftop terrace. With its own bar and comfortable lounge chairs, it provided the perfect spot to unwind and soak in the city's skyline. The staff were attentive and polite, adding to our overall positive experience. Despite only having a brief stay in Barcelona, we were happy with the accommodations for the price. If you're planning to stay in this area, I would recommend considering this hotel.
