Hotel Monegal

The moment we used the bathroom the first day, we saw enormous cockroaches the size of my finger. We moved rooms but had the same issue - again, cockroaches! Not only that; torn and ragged curtains, furniture older than my grandmother, bathrooms with stains and an odor that made us want to leave immediately, and dust everywhere. We were so disgusted by the cockroaches, we asked - in a polite manner - for a refund or some sort of compensation, but the receptionist just shrugged and ignored us. We had paid 400€ and didn't even stay a night! It was an awful experience, and I feel it is my mission to warn people about this place. Don't risk it - pay a bit more to go somewhere else - it is more than worth it. I can't believe this type of accommodation is still operating.

When we first arrived at Hotel Monegal, we noticed that the exterior was not well maintained and the interior was much worse. The room we were given had holes in the curtain, stains in the bathroom and extremely outdated furniture. As if that wasn't enough, a huge cockroach could be seen on the toilet seat. We decided to move to another hotel in the middle of the night, with no compensation. If anyone is considering visiting, do not be fooled by the alluring pictures presented - this hotel fails to meet the basic standards of comfort.

I stayed at Hotel Monegal and was impressed with the spotless condition of the room, which was much brighter and airier than I expected. The staff were especially friendly and efficient, with Luis at reception proving to be a real asset. The location is fantastic and I'd love to come back for another stay! Nothing spectacular about the room itself, but you can't beat the price for the convenience. All in all, my stay here was great.

Staying at Hotel Monegal was a miserable experience. The rooms looked like a pigsty; there was nothing 3-star about them. The food and drinks offered were not available, and the staff had very little courtesy. To make matters worse, I had to hand in my room keys every time I left the hotel. It's a place to avoid, don't waste your vacation time here! ??‍♀️

They offered to change the reservation free of charge so we could take the trip at a later date they even said if needed they could keep the amount until we were ready to come. This showed us the human race is still alive and the world is not only full of bad. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and I thank them from the bottom of my heart for their understanding.

We just recently stayed at Hotel Monegal in Barcelona and we had an absolute wonderful experience. Before arriving, my partner and I had prepaid for our stay. Unfortunately, the day before our stay was due to start, we received the heart-breaking news that our 13-year-old daughter had gone missing. We contacted the police and while they searched for her, we also contacted Hotel Monegal. We were especially surprised and thankful that they offered to change our reservation free of charge to a later date, and they said they'd even keep our fee until we were ready to come. This drive of kindness and understanding certainly shows that the world has more good than bad. Overall, we had such a pleasant experience here and can highly recommend it to anyone. We can never express our gratitude enough for them being so understanding and caring during a difficult situation.
