The location of this hotel is brilliant- it's easily accessible from both the airport and the center of Barcelona. The building itself is beautiful and the staff are incredibly friendly. The rooms are basic but kept neat and clean, as is the ensuite bathroom. You won't find glamour here, but it's great value for money and the perfect place to stay if all you plan to do is be out all day.
I had the misfortune of staying at a hotel during the MWC Congress, when prices skyrocketed to three times the normal (150E for a night). Even for 50 EUR, I would still advise you to choose a hostel instead. The bedroom reeked of urine, sound carried easily between rooms, the decor was very dated, and although the location was central, the main entrance was difficult to find, almost as if the establishment had something to hide.
I stayed at Hotel Pelayo for a recent business trip and I must say that I was quite pleased. The location is great, situated in a safe area. The staff were friendly and accommodating throughout my stay, and the overall atmosphere was comfortable. The rooms were modern and updated, and clean, but the cost was still quite reasonable. I was also pleasantly surprised with the amenities they had - a nice gym, pool, and free breakfast. In short, it was a great value for money and I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a nice place to stay while on a budget.
Great value for money! I stayed at the Hotel Pelayo for 4 days and I had a great experience. Everything was just as it should be - the location is unbeatable, right in the heart of the city, and the room was cozy and comfortable. The air-conditioning was great and the bathroom was spotless. All in all, I couldn't have asked for more at such an affordable price. Highly recommended!
We had a great stay at Hotel Pelayo. The check in was straightforward and the staff were very friendly. The room was basic but had everything we needed- good beds and an amazing shower. The location was another bonus as there were plenty of cafes, shops and supermarkets nearby and it was so easy to get to the airport- only a 5 minute walk. If you're looking for a comfortable, convenient stay then this hotel is the one for you! Highly recommended and we would certainly stay here again.
