? The hotel's entrance is cleverly hidden between shops, making it easy to miss. But once inside, we were greeted by two lovely ladies at the reception area. The elevator takes you up to the rooms, where you can enjoy views of a quaint courtyard through the open windows ? There's a bar area, but unfortunately we didn't get a chance to check it out. The location is perfect for shopping, with the metro just below the bustling streets of Las Ramblas. However, you might feel some vibrations ⚡ Okay, so there are a few downsides: we had booked a twin room, but were given a double instead (I really didn't want to share a bed with my teenage daughter ?). We asked for a change, but unfortunately it wasn't possible. Also, the breakfast included in our stay was actually at a nearby cafe, not in the hotel ? Our room was quite hot and we couldn't leave the French doors open as our room faced Las Ramblas (we were on the fourth floor). The air conditioning didn't work, but we suspect this is because it's considered winter in Spain and the heating is on ? Despite the reservation stating that children under 17 are exempt from tourist tax, we were still charged for my daughter. One thing to note is that due to the design of the walkways, noise does travel across the floor. But really, it's just a small price to pay to be in the lively and vibrant Las Ramblas, both day and night ?
The staff at this hotel were extremely polite and helpful during my stay. The location was perfect and the breakfast, included in my package, was excellent. The bed was very comfortable and the views were beautiful. I was pleasantly surprised to find a bath in my shower. The room also had a fridge, but unfortunately, a kettle was missing. I was under the impression that it was included, but upon asking, I found out otherwise. The 24-hour reception made me feel safe throughout my stay. However, it would be great if other guests could be more considerate and refrain from slamming their doors shut (obviously not the hotel's fault). Overall, I am very happy with my decision to book this hotel for a week. It is conveniently located near all the major attractions and the metro. Best regards, Katie G from Australia.
I recently stayed at the Hotel Ramblas Internacional in Barcelona and while my room was decently clean, it was definitely on the smaller side. The bed was passable and I was able to sleep without issue. However, the bed frame juts out and I ended up hitting my shin on it multiple times during my stay. If I had stayed longer than one night, I would have been quite irritated with myself for choosing this hotel. The wallpaper was peeling at the edges and to my surprise, there was no shower door. It seemed like there used to be one, but it had been removed, causing the bathroom floor to get drenched every time I showered.
On a positive note, the location of the hotel is fantastic and that is the only reason I am giving it three stars. Unfortunately, there were no other redeeming qualities to this establishment. I can't even say that the price was a good deal, as I was able to book a room at the Radisson Blu for a similar price when I returned to Barcelona a few days later. If you don't mind sacrificing quality for a central location, then this hotel might suit you. However, I personally would not choose to stay here again. Despite being listed as a three-star hotel, I would hesitate to rate it any higher than two stars.
The hotel's location was perfect for our stay in Barcelona, but unfortunately the rooms, services, and communication from the employees left much to be desired. The air conditioning was not properly regulated, creating a uncomfortable and unpleasant stay despite the hot and humid weather. Even after bringing this issue to their attention, it was not resolved. Overall, it was the worst experience we've had at a hotel.
This hotel is not worth your money. Our experience felt like being charged extra for a cramped jail cell. The moment we entered our room, we were hit with stifling heat. The air conditioning was broken and their solution was a tiny fan that only blew out warm air. We asked to switch rooms or have the air con fixed, but were told it was not possible to move and that someone would come the next day. But the next day, still no air con. We struggled to sleep during our entire stay and had to leave our balcony doors open, which wasn't safe. The hotel staff were unhelpful and unsympathetic, providing no resolution. When I called them, they even lied and said the air con was working, but weak, and that they had upgraded us to a room with a balcony. However, this was never mentioned when we were there in person. The room was in need of repairs, with the toilet flush button falling off, plug sockets loose and covered in dust, and the sink tap and safe both broken. These things could have been overlooked, but the broken air con was the final straw. Don't waste your money here. It's not as advertised and no effort was made to compensate us. If I had known the air con was broken, I could have found a cheaper place without it. I will definitely return to Barcelona, but will never stay at this hotel again.
