Iberostar Selection Paseo de Gracia 4 Sup

The hotel's location in Barcelona was top-notch. The highlight was undoubtedly the stunning rooftop bar and pool. However, the lobby was quite cramped, especially for those staying as part of a Silversea pre-hotel. The elevator system was a bit of a nightmare to navigate, making the stay more of a hassle than it should have been. Although the room itself was modern and sleek after its renovation, it lacked warmth. The bathrooms, on the other hand, were quite impressive. The check-in process was challenging, especially for larger cruise groups, and I would likely not choose to stay here again.

Went for a quick break to Barcelona but due to the flight being delaid we didn't arrive at the hotel until 11:00pm, fortunately we had aranged a taxi, through the hotel so at least we got strate from the airport to the hotel. On arival we were ofered cold water or Cava, we chose Cava, it was very nice. We had already checked in online so were given the room key cards and asked if we needed help with our luggae. We arrived at our room, with a view over the Place de Catalunya and the city, it was clean, light and aery and nice and cool, it being very hummid outside. As it was late we opted for a shower and bed. Breackfast was in the restaurant on level 1, there was very good cold buffet, the pastries were execellent, and hot food, omelettes, eggs benedict, eggs roayle, pancakes, etc., were cooked freshly to order. Out for the morning sightseeing and returned to the hotel at lunchtime, the restaurant provides lunch but we went up to the Sky Bar, unfortunatly it started to rain so we had to sit inside, there is only limited seating. There is a snack menu so we ordered a club sandwich and a pizza margherita. The portions were ample, the service was quick and freindly, along with resonable prices. The hotel is in an execellent location on the Placa de Catalunya, well served by local, tourist and airport buses, taxis and the metro. The hotel is very clean and the staff freindly with execellent breakfast, unfortunatly the restaurant is not open for dinner. The only thing we weren't keen on was the bathroom, as there isn't' one as such, as you enter the room, the toilet was in a seperate room on the left, next the that was a double washbasin, in the actual bedroom, then a shower room, we would have prefered a bathroom containing all three elements, toilet, washbasin and shower, there was a degree of lack of privacy, but perhapse that because we are English. If visiting Barcelona again we would defenitly stay at the Iberostar Paseo de Gracia....

My stay at this stunning hotel was ?! Carol was wonderful and made us feel like we were right at home - I can't wait to come back on the 24th! Ying Ying, Gemma, and Sara at reception were also so lovely. ???A big thank you to the entire team for doing such a superb job! ? Long live this amazing team! ?

We arrived shortly after noon and were greeted at the door with a glass of Cava or cold water. Our room wasn't quite ready, but we were able to leave our bags and find a large restroom to change in. When we returned, our room key was already waiting and we found our room to be massive, with a great view of Placa de Catalunya. The decor of the entire hotel was incredible, and our room had a TV built into the wall mirror, a reusable glass jug for water, a fridge, a safe, and a coffee maker. The rooftop pool was fantastic, with delicious food and drinks, and a dedicated area for hotel guests to always find a seat. Niss was also incredibly kind and helpful, always making sure we were taken care of. The only downside was the small size of the gym, but it was enough for a quick morning workout. Overall, the hotel is a 10/10 for its location and its staff - every person we encountered here was friendly and helpful.

This accommodation is in an ideal spot to take in all that Barcelona has to offer. Our superior room was situated perfectly, even though we would have liked it to be located on a higher floor. We were very pleased with all the staff members we encountered, who were knowledgeable, helpful and professional. Unfortunately, the elevators were slow and small, which was a minor issue, but the biggest let-down for us was that the Terrace bar was closed to guests on two nights for outside parties, with no prior warning and no other bar in the hotel.
