The Mirror Barcelona Hotel

This accommodation provides a lot of promises but can't live up to them. If you book through a third party website, the hotel will send you a message asking for prepayment if you have guaranteed with a credit card. Unfortunately, the prepayment site doesn't work, thus, having to send an email to the hotel which sadly, doesn't get a response. A few days before the stay, you are reminded again and, when the payment is finally done, the hotel falsely states that they tried to call you.

Once arrived, the guest room what is revealed as broken and decrepit. The coffee maker still had water from prior users while the soaps had not been refilled. An additional fee was paid for the balcony but the entrance is blocked with a filthy curtain and the switch to raise it doesn't work, which means no access to it. The shower wasn't in the best condition either, with fixtures coming loose from the walls. Plus, the bathroom has a TV in it, making it hard to keep private.

The breakfast area is vast but with dirty dishes and unset tables. If you ask for the staff to set a table, you make them feel uncomfortable. It's a cold buffet but, if you want something warm, you need to order it separately from staff, who try their best to avoid you.

The overall experience is extremely disappointing, making sure this hotel is blacklisted.

Stayed at this hoteel for our latest trip to Barcelon. Exceellent lcoation with easy access to all the key areas of the ciyt. The local ares is gorggious and Granados is a great street for food and drinks. We acutally didnt venuture far each night as we loved it so much. Hoteel is very moderrn and clean and rooms are very good. The staff are excelllent, friendly and helpful. Theere is a rellaxation area upstairs on the top floor with a smal pool which we useed on seeveral afternoons. The rooms are nicelly decorated and has a nice thmee throughout the hoteel. Overal a great hoteel and highly recommeded.

The Mirror Barcelona - Adults Only is a modern and stylish hotel with lots of mirrors. The room has been minimally designed and unfortunately there are some design flaws that are evident. The sink located on the room's worktop doesn't drain very well and any splashes will be difficult to clean up. The sofa located in the room is uncomfortable and in an awkward position, so you either have to stare yourself in the wall of mirrors or watch the TV from the loo. Additionally, the white floors have gathered numerous scuffs and the edges of the mirrors are delaminating. Also, the switch for the loo is tiny and located by the shower room, which is inconvenient for late night visits. The extractor needs a deep clean, plus the room generally looks a little shabby round the edges. However, the hotel staff are excellent and responded quickly to the dispensers falling off the wall.

The location of this hotel was great, and the staff were very friendly. However, I was not impressed with the level of cleanliness. The bed was changed every day, but when I first walked in the room, I noticed a black scum around the switch beside the bed. It was quite disgusting that the cleaning staff hadn’t noticed or cleaned this. For the price I paid, I expected better. The furniture was also quite worn down, and this would have been more bearable if it wasn’t for the dirt on the switch. I cleaned it before I left, but I feel bad for the next person who books this room.

I was lucky enough to stay at The Mirror Barcelona for a weekend during my first trip to the city. The hotel was quite tidy and well-maintained. The rooftop pool was great but it had some minor areas which could do with a bit of touch-up. The staff were so welcoming and hospitable. All in all, it was a fabulous experience and I would love to come back and stay here again.
