Ofelias Hotel 4Sup by Bondia Hotel Group
About
A new reference in the area!
A nice surprise to see this new hotel Ofelias, situated just a few steps from the Barcelona Trade Fair (La Fira) and the metro station at Plaza de España, just 3 stops from centre Barcelona. Opened in 2012, offers a well thought modern decoration with a warm atmosphere. We like the terrace on the roof, the pool, the saloons and the small interior spaces. Rooms are spacious, with a touch of class, silent and some with private terraces. A reference n the area!

The Ofelias Hotel 4Sup by Bondia Hotel Group was an extremely disappointing experience. At an overpriced fee of £360 for one night, this "luxury" room was anything but – small and cramped, with a tiny wardrobe and a lift making excessive noise throughout the night. The photographs of the hotel made it seem as if there were plentiful outdoor spaces and a bar, but this was not the case. To make matters worse, the pool was unbelievably small, and the other hotel customers had an overwhelming sense of snobbery. There was no regard to comfort, especially in the shower, and there were hardly any plug sockets in convenient places. As if this weren't bad enough, the room had only cheep teabags and NESCAFE packets, and the breakfast room in the basement was dimly lit. Instead of Spanish coffee, guests were instead greeted with a Nespresso machine. All these factors make this hotel one to avoid at all costs.
This accomodation was top-notch! We were impressed with the gorgeous decor. The room was immaculate and had ample room, plus mirrors, which was a nice touch. There was a yummy breakfast option (paid separately), and the staff was incredible! We had a minor issue and they happily allowed us some extra time free of charge so we could enjoy their facilities. Safety wasn't an issue in the neighbourhood, and there were lots of places to eat nearby. I would definitely recommend it!

Staying at the Ofelias Hotel 4Sup by Bondia Hotel Group was a mixed experience. The decor was nice, but the rooms were quite small and didn't seem to justify the cost. Worse yet, during my three-night stay, I started noticing bites over my exposed skin. Initially I thought they were just midges from a meal out, but the next day the number of bites had increased significantly, leading me to believe that some type of insect was in the room. Since I was checking out soon after, I was unable to switch rooms, and when I returned home I had to throw out my luggage and steam-clean my clothes, severely damaging some of them in the process. It was a stressful experience, and I would not stay here again. Furthermore, there is an unpleasant smell of drains by the reception.
My recent stay at Ofelias Hotel 4* Sup was great. Everything about it was top-notch and the staff went above and beyond our expectations. The rooms were comfortable, spacious, and had all the amenities necessary to make us feel at home. The location of the hotel was convenient, with easy access to public transportation and many restaurants. But the best part was the customer service! When our wheelchair unexpectedly broke, the receptionist went out of her way and made numerous calls to arrange for a borrowing chair for the remainder of our stay. We were absolutely amazed at her resourcefulness and willingness to help us. We couldn't have asked for a better stay - thank you Ophelias Hotel for the wonderful hospitality and lovely experience!
Overall, Ofelias Hotel 4* Sup was extremely expensive for what it was. The view from the window was quite unappealing consisting of the neighbouring balconies and washing lines, so the curtains had to remain closed throughout the whole stay. The room was also incredibly disappointing; it was quite small and lacked adequate storage, there were no plugs near the bed either, so it was inconvenient to charge phones or use any electrical devices. Breakfast was exactly the same every day which did not make it worth the money, and unfortunately, the staff members were quite unfriendly with one-word answers. The only exception was a young man whose name we didn’t manage to get, but he was kind and obliging, taking the time to explain to us the places we could visit and showing us where they were on the map. We even had to pay for two bottles of water, even though we hadn’t had any the whole week, apart from the day of arrival.
