A new reference in the area!
A nice surprise to see this new hotel Ofelias, situated just a few steps from the Barcelona Trade Fair (La Fira) and the metro station at Plaza de España, just 3 stops from centre Barcelona. Opened in 2012, offers a well thought modern decoration with a warm atmosphere. We like the terrace on the roof, the pool, the saloons and the small interior spaces. Rooms are spacious, with a touch of class, silent and some with private terraces. A reference n the area!

It was a good size room with a great sized bed. Very clean and modern with air con, safe, work space and a good sized wardrobe. The towels, bedding and toiletries were of a good quality and very absorbent/long lasting. The bathroom a good size and shower was good. Breakfast: Was included in our room rate and was really good. Lots of choice for all tastes. From cereals, croissants and sweets, to pancakes and hot dishes. The self service coffee machine was really good too! Service: Reception staff were really helpful. Both English and Spanish speaking. Explaining useful information about the area, restaurant and transport. Overall: I would definitely recommend Ofelias Hotel to anyone looking for a comfy stay near to Placa de Espanya. It was a great service overall and we had no complaints.
I stayed at the Ofelias Hotel 4* Sup in November 2022. My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel was in a great location near the Placa de Espanya monument/roundabout, opposite the Arenas Barcelona Mall and just a 3minute walk to the train station. This made it very easy to get around and visit the Sagrada Familia, Casa Mila and Casa Batlo, all within 15minutes via the Metro. The area was very lively with great options for dining and shopping, and while it could get a little noisy at times, it wasn't unbearable and I could still get a good sleep with the balcony door open.
The room we stayed in was spacious and modern with a comfortable bed, air con, safe, wardrobe and a nice work space. The towels, bedding and toiletries were of good quality and very soft. The bathroom was also a good size and the shower was fantastic.
We were also lucky enough to have breakfast included in our room rate. There was a great selection of food, from cereals and pastries, to pancakes and hot dishes, and the self service coffee machine was fantastic. The reception staff were friendly, helpful and spoke both English and Spanish.
I would highly recommend Ofelias Hotel for anyone looking for a comfortable stay near Placa de Espanya. We had a really pleasant stay and were very satisfied with the service we received.
Ofelias Hotel 4* Sup is an absolute gem. From the moment we stepped inside, we could tell that this was a special place. The staff were incredibly welcoming and the rooms were perfect for a city break. We loved the convenient location close to public transport links and the airport. Plus, we were just a 35-minute walk from La Rambla and 40 minutes from the beach. Along the way, there were plenty of cafes, bars, and restaurants to explore. We highly recommend Ofelias Hotel 4* Sup to anyone looking for a great place to stay while in Barcelona.
