The staff at this hotel were truly excellent. The breakfast was lovely and it was great that it didn't have an early end time like many other places. The rooms were very clean and stylish. However, the bathroom did not feel very private. I wish I could leave a shorter review, but I need to fill the character limit. Overall, a nice experience.
Avoid this place at all costs! The surroundings are under construction with no prior notification to guests. We were constantly disturbed by noise from drilling and hammering during the day and early in the morning. The personnel at reception were unhelpful and seemed rude - although this might have been due to the lack of English proficiency. It is not close to public transportation, despite their claim of the nearest metro station being close; it is closed. The breakfast provided was also mediocre. Finally, the location is hard to locate due to the construction and the slow door is a joke.
We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and were able to check in without delay. The staff at the front desk were friendly and accommodating. This accommodation is centrally located in the city, and many of the top attractions, like La Sagrada, Casa Mila, and Casa Battlo, are within a 10-15 minute walk. The decor is modern, but quite dark. When entering the lobby, you can smell a hotel-specific fragrance. Unfortunately, for those who are sensitive to strong odors, it can cause a slight headache. Housekeeping did a wonderful job, but the room could benefit from some updating. Specifically, the baseboards need to be repainted and there was some rust in the bathroom sink.
We really enjoyed staying in this hotel in the Eixample district of Barcelona. It was incredibly close to the Sagrada Familia, other Gaudi sights, the Gothic Quarter and many restaurants. Communication from the staff was excellent. It had a lovely view from our balcony and the modern interiors were updated and comfortable. The older facade was also very beautiful. Despite construction to the front facade, we never saw or heard any work being done and it didn't distract at all. We were extremely satisfied with the location, price and quality of service.
I recently stayed at this location and was disappointed to find it undergoing significant renovations. The exterior view was marred by an unappealing construction site, and loud drilling and hammering noises disturbed the peace from early morning. None of this information was mentioned on the booking platforms I used, resulting in an unexpected and unpleasant experience. What further exacerbated the situation was the lack of acknowledgement or compensation offered by the staff for this inconvenience. Future visitors should be aware of the ongoing renovations and the hotel’s current handling of the situation before making a booking. I hope the management improves its communication and offers appropriate support to guests impacted by these changes.
