This hostel was a bit pricey but proved to be a satisfactory stay. The bedrooms and bathrooms were in good condition, quite clean, and what I expected from a hostel. The building was quite stunning, very old and attractive, and in a perfect spot in the middle of Barcelona. The staff were really pleasant and all payments are cashless.
If you're looking for accommodation in Barcelona ?, I wouldn't recommend this one ?. I had the worst hostel experience ever ?. Even though I initially booked through ? Hostelworld, I ended up out of pocket due to a glitch in the app ?. On top of that, the customer service I received ? from the hostel was pretty much inhuman. One ?♂️word: avoid at all costs ?. Do yourself a favour and stay at the Generator Hostel instead ?.
Felt incredibly unsafe in this hostel ? the staff were rude and unhelpful ?, had to deal multiple times with a trespasser in our room ?, where the police had to be called three times ?. Would never recommend this hostel ??.
I recently stayed at a hotel in Barcelona. I had a two-night reservation between the 1st and 3rd of April. Unfortunately, my room card had been cancelled when I arrived two hours early. So, I went to reception to sort it out and returned to my room. Shockingly, I found someone else was sleeping in the bed I had paid for. The reception accepted that they had double sold and cancelled my room card. I'm currently stuck outside the hotel unable to get a refund. This is a warning to all potential guests, they may have sold your room even if you've prepaid and made a reservation. I advise you to take extreme caution and check with reception before entering the room; otherwise you might end up sleeping outside like me!
