This hotel offered a small room, but it was well equipped with lights and plenty of plugs, not to mention a desk. It would be great for someone travelling on business alone. Unfortunately, though, late night room service was quite limited, with only cold meats and cheese available after 11 pm, so make sure you plan ahead or you'll be left hungry without a proper meal. The minibar was a bit of a letdown too, with only potato chips available. It looks like they're hoping you'll take them up on their breakfast offer!
We stayed in this hotel for three nights. The staff were friendly and accommodating, offering two adjoining rooms for our family that had their own private entrance for extra security. Our rooms were on the second floor, and while you could hear the sounds of the streets during the day, it was very quiet during the night. The hotel was well-maintained, with a nice breakfast area which had enough to get by. It was located away from the hustle and bustle of the area, and a three block walk to the nearby subway station. There were restaurants close by but the desk staff were not particularly knowledgeable of the local eateries. It would be beneficial for the staff to be armed with some restaurant suggestions. All-in-all, a pleasant experience and we would most likely stay here again.
I stayed at the Seventy Barcelona hotel for one night in Barcelona and was impressed! The hotel opened in 2019 and was unfortunately closed in 2020, so it's quite new. It's a great property, comparable to the JW Marriott properties in the U.S. and I definitely recommend buying the breakfast package. It's a great deal and offers a wonderful variety of food.
The staff was friendly and welcoming. The room was clean, with a large television and some English news channels. The bed and pillows were plush and comfortable. The shower had a good size but there were water leaks. My room was on the fifth floor with a view of an attractive building across the street. The rooftop had an enjoyable swimming pool and a pleasant overlook. From the rooftop I was able to spot the Sagrada Familia. There were plenty of places to eat, like pizza places, bakeries, churros cafes and tapas bars, within walking distance. Public transportation was just a few minutes away, as well as the fashionable shopping street. There was an abundance of retail stores and restaurants there. I had an exceptionally pleasant stay and would easily return. Taking a taxi to the airport ran 33 euros and to the cruise port was 17 euros.
I did plenty of research before choosing a hotel for our Barcelona honeymoon. We spent four nights at the place and were delighted with it. As soon as we arrived, smiling staff members offered us a glass of cava and we went through the check-in. Our third-floor room surpassed our expectations, overlooking a large courtyard with a peaceful atmosphere. The room had plenty of storage for our clothes and luggage, plus a super comfortable bed with lovely linens. We took advantage of the water features at the spa two days in a row—there was so much to enjoy that we wished we had more time. The hotel staff was very helpful when we missed our Sagrada Familia ticket booking due to a lengthy flight delay. They even arranged for a taxi to take us to the airport early the next morning. They showed us a lot of kindness by sending a bottle of cava to our room with a note wishing us a pleasant honeymoon. We didn’t eat or drink there, but the restaurant and bar looked just as inviting as the rest of the property.
