Sixties Ramblas
About
The Ramblas with a vintage atmosphere
This time the hotel chain Chic & Basic, which we greatly appreciate, has created a vintage atmosphere from the 60s and is located just off the Ramblas. With a young and colorful decoration with a big sense of humor, and above all thought to be pleasant with nice rooms, air conditioned and quiet. We love the bicycle hire, free wifi and private parking ..

My recent stay at a hotel in Barcelona was nothing short of fantastic. The location was perfect and the staff were incredibly welcoming and warm, especially Sandro and Jakub. They even kindly let us store our bags until our room was ready. I couldn't have asked for a better experience and would definitely book a room here again. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Barcelona.
During my recent trip to Barcelona, I had the pleasure of staying at the Sixties Ramblas Hotel for a friend's birthday. From check-in to check-out, I was impressed with the friendliness and cleanliness of the hotel. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the location was ideal for exploring the city. The staff also made arranging taxis a breeze. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Barcelona. One unique aspect that I particularly enjoyed was the historic figures displayed on the back of each room's door. It added a special touch to the overall experience. All in all, my stay at Sixties Ramblas was fantastic and definitely one of the highlights of my trip.
My stay here was wonderful! As a first-time visitor to Barcelona, I was a bit hesitant about the location, but it turned out to be ideal! There are plenty of activities within walking distance, and taxis are easily accessible. The room was spacious and clean, and the staff were incredibly kind and helpful. It was a bit unusual to have to turn in my room key every time I left, but I realized it was a good way for the staff to keep track of guests. The breakfast was tasty and the fact that it was served until 11:30 was a plus. The only minor issue was the limited selection of toiletries in the bathroom - only shampoo, body wash, and soap were provided. As I was traveling light and these items were provided at other hotels I stayed in, it would have been nice to have conditioner, lotion, or a washcloth. However, this was a small detail in an otherwise perfect stay.
Located in a bustling area of Barcelona, this hotel may not be the most convenient for drivers. However, it is conveniently close to popular streets and lively entertainment spots. The vintage elevators gave off a fun 60's vibe and the entrance to the rooms added to this ambiance. However, upon entering our room, we were disappointed to see a lack of artwork or decorations, leaving it feeling cold and empty. Additionally, the worn and dirty curtains were a letdown. The hidden stove and sink in the closet also seemed impractical, and the kitchenette lacked basic necessities such as utensils and cleaning supplies. If all you need is a place to sleep, this hotel may suffice, but for those seeking more, it may be best to look elsewhere. It would be beneficial for management to renovate and improve the rooms and amenities.
This accommodation, considering its cost, was extremely simple. It should be noted that the description provided by the booking website was not entirely accurate. The room was lacking in warmth and furnishings, and the white curtains were far from clean. In addition, the kitchenettes in all rooms were not functional. While the reception staff were kind and helpful, there was not much they could do to improve the overall experience. This was the most expensive hotel we stayed at during our trip in Spain, and unfortunately, it was also the worst. The only positive aspect was its convenient location.
