Unsatisfactory experience. The bathrooms were moldy and not reflective of the advertised pictures. The lack of hygiene was evident with a clogged shower head due to excessive limescale build-up. Common areas showed signs of neglect with peeling wallpaper and falling fire hoses. The hotel director seemed disinterested, offering only a cheap bottle of wine in response to our complaints. Despite being moved to a new room, the overpowering smell of sewage was a constant issue. Furthermore, the internet was subpar and staff lacked decision-making abilities. I strongly recommend finding alternative accommodations, as even basic hotels maintain proper cleanliness, which seemed to be lacking here.
The most terrible experiance ever, we booked originally through booking.com as a pachage (fligt and hotal) with Sunotel Aston, we paied for 7 nights but 6 nights stay scince we were on the way for the 1st night, when we arived to the hotle, they seid that they were waiting for us the night befor and scince nobody notifiyed them, they cancelld our reservasion with no call, email or follow up with us or pricelin pachage(through booking.com), they seid we will do a favour to you for not leting you stay at the street tonigt! And however you had already paied for your hotle, we will charge you for another hotle" Sunotel Junior" and you shold come back tommorow and talk to the menager; We paied duble price for the cheeper quality Sunotel Junior hotle with the dirty smal room, we could not even open the door of washroom becuase of awfull smell and not ventilated. No safty box, When cilent book a pachage, the 3rd party (agancy or,...) need to be in contact with other providers or the hotle should have some follow up when working in partnership with other agents/websits,...the next day, they rembursed us the our 1st night with no price difference becuase of lower quality, so we went back to Sunotel Aston but all of those were such a headache after 19 hrs flight from Vencouver-Canada and above all of that they were not understanding and there tretement was so rude.....
During my recent stay in Barcelona, I was impressed with the service, breakfast, and comfortable room. However, I did encounter a minor issue with the AC not working. Thankfully, since it was winter, it did not pose a major inconvenience. However, I can imagine the room would have been uncomfortably hot if it were during the summer months.
Staying at this hotel was perfect for us. ???? We found the rooms to be clean and tidy, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. While we didn't have the chance to sample the food, we did enjoy some drinks in the rooftop bar, which were reasonably priced and tasty. Overall, it was a great stay! ???
This little hotel ticks all the boxes. The rooms were spotless, staff attentive, and the location perfect if you want to be close to Passieg da Gracia, with Casa Mila and Casa Batllo just a short stroll away. Plus, the subway is only two blocks away. The hotel had been recently refurbished and kept very clean. The added bonus of the pool and jacuzzi was great, and the staff even arranged for a taxi to the airport at an ungodly hour! All in all, it did what it said on the tin. A job well done!
