This little hotel was the perfect base for exploring the city. It was located just a 12 minute stroll from Los Rambles and was extremely clean. The bed was really comfortable and we had the pleasure of having a room with a terrace, which was great for enjoying a leisurely cup of coffee in the morning. The roof terrace provided a great spot to relax and the breakfast selection was varied and delicious. The staff at reception were excellent, particularly Donald who was very helpful.
I had a great stay at Sunotel Central! The location is wonderful, it's right next to Las Ramblas and close to all the sights. The hotel itself is not huge, but the rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly and helpful too. Overall, Sunotel Central is an excellent choice for someone looking to explore Barcelona and not spend too long in the hotel. Highly recommend!
I was promised a city view room but was told "we're full" and I was given a pitiful room instead. The TV was absurdly small and the window overlooked somebody else's window, not to mention the dirty courtyard in front of it. To top it off, the receptionist was very unhappy when I arrived at nearly midnight. The whole place was dark and quiet. After contacting Expedia to complain, I'm still trying to get a refund and I would highly discourage anyone from using either Expedia or this hotel.
I stayed at Sunotel Central for a few days in February and am very pleased with the experience. The room was of a good standard, with a nice and spacious en-suite and a comfortable bed. I had an internal-facing window, which provided a decent night’s sleep. The staff were friendly and all spoke English, and the Nespresso machine was refilled each day. The fridge could be used as a mini-bar and you could put your own stuff in. There was air con and a small TV with Spanish and some UK channels. Finally, the digital safe was great for extra security. Plus, the airport bus stop was just a couple of minutes away, so getting to and from the airport was super easy - for only €6.75 each way, you can pay by card. All in all, great value for money and a very enjoyable stay.
I stayed at Sunotel Central and enjoyed it. The location is perfect - conveniently within walking distance of a metro station, plus a bus stop near by for easy airport access. The staff were friendly and the breakfast buffet had a good selection of delicious goodies like cheese, ham, and fruit. Unfortunately, the WiFi wasn't the best, but apart from that the room was alright. All in all, it was a pleasant experience.
