TOC Hostel Barcelona

During my stay at the TOC Hostel Barcelona, I was extremely impressed with the level of assistance provided by the staff. Furthermore, the location of the hotel is incredibly convenient, being situated just a short 2-minute stroll away from the nearest Metro station. For anyone considering a trip to Barcelona, I would highly recommend this fantastic accommodation.

The accommodations were simply charming and stylish. Our private room had its own en-suite bathroom and a lovely street view. Despite being facing the bustling streets, the noise was surprisingly muted when the doors were shut. We particularly enjoyed keeping the doors open during the day to admire the stunning cityscape and closing them at night for a restful sleep. The only slight downside were the mattresses, which seemed to have not been rotated regularly and had noticeable dents. While I didn't mind my cozy little dip, my companion struggled with feeling like she was sliding off the bed at night. Nonetheless, everything else exceeded our expectations and we are eager to stay at other hostels by this brand in Spain.

The hostel had an amazing atmosphere! The staff were extremely welcoming, including the receptionists, housekeeping, and bar staff (both at night and during breakfast). The music played throughout the hostel was fantastic and really added to the overall atmosphere. The staff were so cheerful and easygoing that it rubbed off on the guests as well. I had previously stayed at a different hostel in September and the contrast was clear. The hostel was also very clean and felt secure, with plenty of space in the bunk bed and a large locker for personal belongings. The shared bathroom and toilet areas were easily accessible from anywhere in the hostel. However, I did find that the prices were a bit steep on the weekends. The location was perfect though, right in the center. I am already looking forward to coming back and have already suggested the hostel to my friends and family who are planning trips to Barcelona.

During our visit to Barcelona, we had the pleasure of staying at the TOC Hostel Barcelona and it was absolutely perfect for us! The location was ideal, with easy access to the airport bus and close to all the main attractions. We loved the laid-back atmosphere, especially the hangout area where we enjoyed playing pool and meeting new people. The communal space was beautifully decorated and designed, making it a great spot to unwind after a day of exploring. Our beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were always clean. The best part? The prices were incredibly reasonable. We would highly recommend this hostel to anyone traveling to Barcelona, whether it be for a dorm or a private room. The cost for a bed in an 8-bed female dormitory was quite steep at €90. Unfortunately, the facilities did not match the price. The communal areas advertised in the photos were only available to those purchasing food or drinks. While these areas were nice, the actual communal spaces in the basement were uninviting with stark white tiles and no windows. My room was spacious and practical, but not very clean, as I discovered hair and crumbs in my bed. The staff were not very welcoming. The only redeeming feature was the breakfast, which was worth the €8 with its wide selection. Overall, for €90 a night, there are certainly more charming hostels and bed and breakfasts in Barcelona, rather than this money-focused establishment.
