During my initial two-night stay, I occupied a female room which I found to be reasonably suitable. However, upon my recent return, I was informed that there were no other room options available. As a result, I ended up staying in a mixed room on the first floor. Unfortunately, the shower room had a very unpleasant smell and the water would not flow properly, making it difficult to properly wash my face. I hope this issue can be addressed and improved in the near future. Additionally, I was curious as to why I was given a room with individuals of the same nationality. I am unsure if this was a deliberate decision by the hostel or if it was simply coincidence, but it did lead me to question if this was a form of favoritism or discrimination.

The location of this hostel was very convenient, just a 10-minute walk from Place Catalunia. From there, it was easy to catch a bus to and from the airport or take a tourist bus to see the city's famous sights. The Sagrada Familia was also within a 30-minute walk. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. However, it would have been nice to have some sort of curtain to create a sense of privacy in the mixed-gender rooms. Unfortunately, the bathrooms and toilets were quite dirty, which was a major downside.

My friends and I stayed at this hostel for 3 nights. We were pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness and cleanliness of our quadruple suite. The bed was comfortable and we appreciated the basic toiletries provided since we only had hand luggage. The room was also cleaned daily. Some reviews mentioned belongings being stolen, so we paid a refundable deposit to use the safe and had no issues. My only complaint is that there was only one mirror in the room, making it difficult for 3 girls to get ready at the same time. The communal areas were nice, and we enjoyed the bar and pool table. The pool was small but refreshing, although there were limited sunbeds available. The location is convenient, with a metro station nearby and most attractions within walking distance. We did not have the breakfast, but there is a delicious empanada place next door that we highly recommend.

During my stay at this hostel, I was unfortunate enough to have a man break in while I was asleep and steal all of my cash. When I approached the staff to express my worries about this safety issue, my concerns were largely dismissed and I received very little assistance. I have yet to hear any response from them after bringing this up. If you’re looking for a secure place to stay, I wouldn't recommend this place.

I stayed alone for a week in July. The pros: the rooms were really nice and the location was great - close to the subway and bus station, and easily walkable to most attractions. You could get to the Sagrada Familia in around 30 minutes, and with plenty of sights to take in on the way. The cons: it wasn’t particularly sociable. Lots of families stayed here, so it wasn’t as lively as a traditional hostel. The bar was closed for 3 days during my stay, and the events were dead - at most, there were just 5 people there. On top of that, I had an individual room and while the cleaning staff were fantastic, I got walked in on a few times. In conclusion: if you’re coming alone and looking for a more social atmosphere, then this isn’t the hostel for you. On the other hand, if you’re coming with friends or aren’t bothered about the social side, then it’s worth a look.
