? This accommodation might have been ? when it was new, but the overall atmosphere ? is everything is somewhat old & worn out. ? They do try to keep the place ? (even sanitize the ?) though, but the overall atmosphere ? is kept dark because of the dim lighting... more appropriate for a pub ? or tavern ? than a hostel. Some of the rooms ?️ lack ?️. Good ?️ situated between 2 Ⓜ️ stations Urgell and Universitat. Overall just OK..
Urbany Hostel BCN GO! is the place to be for a litty experience ? Boy oh boy did we have a great time! ? We only stayed for 4 days but it felt like 1000 - in a good way! ✨ From the moment we entered our room, we were in for a treat! Clumps of dust and peanut wrapers ? greeted us on and under the bed ? The air conditioner was like a screeching baby, but we didn't mind because we were too busy having a blast! ? The shower was timed, so don't even bother trying to wash off your sweat from all the dancing ? The beds were broken and the ladder was shaky, but who needs stability when you're living on the edge? ? But the best part? The sheets! ?️ Can't even describe how much character those mysterious brown and reddish stains added to our stay ? Along with some random hairs that defintiely weren't mine ? But hey, nothing a little rabies can't fix amirite? ? Shoutout to the amazing lift that took us to the wrong floors ? Definitely a highlight of our trip! All in all, I highlyyyyy recommend this place for a wild adventure ?
Unfortunately, my experience at this particular hostel was not a pleasant one. I highly advise against booking a stay here. Our group endured extreme exhaustion and discomfort during our time here. The room we slept in was infested with bugs and the sheets were both stained and unsanitary. The constant high-pitched noise from the air-conditioning made it almost impossible to sleep. Not to mention, the hostel's decision to use unpainted glass for the bathroom walls was an unsuccessful attempt at privacy. On top of all this, the tiles were cold and dirty, creating an uncomfortable atmosphere. The food, if you can even call it that, was practically inedible. And don't even bother trying to use their vending machine - it will just eat your money like the hostel does with their frequent deposit requests for basic amenities like the ping-pong table. Overall, unless you enjoy all of these things, I would steer clear of this hostel.
This hostel was not great, ?♀️ the rooms were dingy and dark, with just lamps providing light. There was no air conditioning, so the rooms were clammy and sticky. The bathrooms were gross, with just overhead showers. The beds were uncomfortable and the sheets were not great either. The rooftop was just a patch of fake grass and a tiny jacuzzi. And the lift only went up, not down, making it ? difficult to get your suitcase down the narrow stairs - especially if you were on the 5th floor. It was definitely ? overpriced for what you got! ?
I booked for my partner and I to visit Barcelona, staying at the Urbany Hostel BCN GO! Hotel. We travel 3-4 times a year and have stayed in a variety of housing types, so we know that price often determines quality. This location, however, was truly something else! The only redeemable feature was its location, as everything was within walking distance, including some great restaurants. Don't be fooled by the photographs, the 'hip vibe' was nowhere to be seen. The rooms were rule-ridden, with padlocked bay windows and broken air conditioning units. On top of that, the smell of a nearby cheap fried chicken stall permeated the room and bedding. The 'terrace' was closed off, and the 'chill out zone' was covered up with no sign of the promised table tennis. On top of that, the promised two free drinks were not available until our last night, and the €4.50 breakfast was unappetizing. Meanwhile, the staff members' discourtesy and noise in the corridors at night had us on edge. Finally, cleanliness left something to be desired, with mould, unwashed bedding, and an unsanitary bathroom. The only plus was the staff printing our tickets and the decent coffee from the vending machine. All in all, this was the worst location I have ever stayed in. I would not recommend the Urbany Hostel BCN GO! Hotel to anyone.
