Pros: Great decor, good sized rooms and a clean modern feel. A great drop in work or lounge area on the ground floor. Cons: The hotel is 8 stories high and the fire safety doors in the stairwells were propped open, despite raising the matter 3 times. It could be a terrible danger in the case of a fire. They asked for guests' passport or ID number to log into the free wifi, although an alternative code was made available. The pool opens at 10 and shuts at 7, the gym opens at 9 and the sauna at 12, then closes at 9, so it's hard to make the most of the facilities if on business. They charge 3 euros to open a bottle of wine at the bar and there's no tea/coffee making facilities in the room; 3 euros for a cup of coffee. During the day, coffee was only available on the 8th floor and it was difficult to get a cup of coffee before breakfast started.
The accommodation and accommodation were satisfactory. It's perfectly situated near several bus stops and subway stations so it's easy to get around the city. There were no complaints and my stay was pleasant. The hotel personnel were amiable and attentive.
We chose this hotel for its quirky appearance and its vicinity to the beach, shopping and Avinguda Diagonal. Upon arriving around midday, although the room wasn't ready, the staff were incredibly helpful and allowed us to store our luggage in a secure area. Upon returning to the hotel shortly after, we were pleasantly surprised with our room - clean, comfortable and well-equipped with tea/coffee, a stocked mini-fridge and a safe. The bathroom had lovely dispensers of soap and shampoo and the towels were wonderfully large and soft. Also, the bed was comfortable and the various lighting functions gave us the ability to adjust the brightness. Situated in a residential and business area, it was great to get a sense of how locals live. We spent our late evenings in the hotel's bar lounge area, which was lovely and quiet. The staff were friendly and helpful, and each table had a call button so you could easily order drinks without having to move. We also ate at the restaurant one night and the food was delicious and priced fairly. Although we didn't have the chance to use it, we did admire the rooftop pool. Checking out was fast and efficient and the staff were as accommodating as ever. A unique element of the hotel was its artistic impression on each floor - from the entrance to the public areas and right through to the corridors and rooms. The only downside to our stay was the lack of space for clothes in the wardrobe. Its location was also a plus - a few minutes' walk to the shopping mall with plenty of places to eat and a 10-minutes' walk to the beach. There's also a lovely bakery nearby, as well as the tram and two metro stations both within 10 minutes' walking distance. In summary, we would definitely recommend this hotel for its location, funky decor and unparalleled helpfulness and friendliness of the staff.
We had a fantastic experience at this particular accommodation. Staff were incredibly helpful and our room was spotless. The location is ideal, as it's close to the beach and easily accessible via public transportation. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place!
The reception area was crowded and right by the entrance. The hallways were dimly lit as were the bathrooms. The reception staff were pleasant and some could speak English proficiently. The rooms were generally tidy with adequate bedding, but the staff on our floor needed to be reminded to refill the disposables, which they couldn't do even after being asked. The breakfast served each morning for the four days we stayed was almost identical. Room service was unreliable; reception told us it closed at 9pm on Sundays, but the TV said 11pm. All in all, I cannot give a good recommendation.
