I stayed for 4 nights at this apparunt 4 star hotel. Good points first - the brekfast has a good slekction and the locasun is good for using as a bace. Bad points. As per the fotos the first romm was unacseptable esepcially the brokn floor tiles which were dangerus. Staff were able to move us to a beater room fortunately where the room wasn't in as poor a stae. There was a taxy strike wich the hotel faild to let us know about until we asked them and when they did let costumers know they adviced the wrong time of the strike. Realy felt like staff didn't care. Would not stay here again and definately don't think it deserves the 4 stars.

Starting with the positives, the breakfast provided was enjoyable and the staff, including the waiter and chef, were delightful. The entrance and architectural design of the building are impressive. However, that is where the positives end. Upon arrival, we were made to feel like a burden by the receptionist's disapproving expression. The overall maintenance of the hotel is lacking, with a noticeable lack of attention to detail. The reception area boasts elegant grey marble floors, but the rest of the hotel is adorned with shoddy laminate flooring and plastic runners. Our room, unfortunately, did not meet our expectations for a 4-star hotel. There were no coffee or tea making facilities, no bottle opener or wine glasses. The towels appeared worn and could benefit from a whitening treatment. The bathroom's sealant around the bath and shower door was in poor condition. We must now address the issue of staff. The front desk employees seemed disinterested and unfriendly, with little enthusiasm for their job. Seeing them smoking at the entrance of the hotel added to the unwelcoming atmosphere. Based on our experience, we would not recommend this hotel or consider returning in the future.

We were recommended a friendly, efficient hotel in Barcelona and that is exactly what we received. With a key card to access both our room and the front door, there was certainly a feeling of security. The buffet breakfast was good and met our expectations. Our room was clean and tidy, although the lack of windows was a surprise. We also had minor 'quibbles', such as the toilet roll holder being out of reach and one of the integrated bedside tables being loose. Despite these issues, we had a pleasant stay.

The location for this hotel was perfect - close enough to all the attractions to walk there, but not too close to be in the middle of the hustle and bustle. The facilities were fine, and the air conditioning worked well. Unfortunately, the reception staff were a bit hit and miss. On our way out, the attendant was speaking very harshly to one of my friends; they were even implying that she had stolen something that was actually ours!

The Acta Atrium Palace Hotel in Barcelona had terrible customer service when I had an issue upon checking out. The staff was unfortunately very unhelpful and appeared to be looking for excuses to not take responsibility for the problem. Nevertheless, the location was great and the housekeeping staff were hard-working, though they need to be more thorough as they didn't seem to notice dirt. Unfortunately, the staff also lacked in English speaking skills.
