After our less than perfect experience in Paris, we were pleasantly surprised on our arrival at this establishment. The staff were able to answer any of our queries and they even provided a kettle for our stay. We stayed here for two nights before embarking on our cruise ship. The room was spacious and laid out nicely. Although we were in a room towards the back of the hotel, it was actually very quiet. We were close to the waterfront and the city's historical district, and we were even able to take a hop-on hop-off bus from close by.
It was a huge let-down despite paying more than £500 for 3 nights. The location is great - literally a minute away from the Gothic quarter - but the hotel is certainly not 4-star and is barely passing for 3-star. Location: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - incredibly convenient to shopping, transportation, and the Gothic Quarter. Staff: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - friendly at reception, but the room was never cleaned in the three nights we were there, and we discovered items left behind by previous guests, as well as missing items like coffee pods. Room: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - we were upgraded to a balcony, though the glass bins in the street below created a lot of noise. The fridge was tiny, the door opened the wrong way, and all we got was a kettle and two sweets, no coffee. The bathroom, however, was nice. Generally, the rooms have a dreary feeling, thanks to dark wood and gray decor. Breakfast ?⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - nice selection, though it was a shame having to go into the basement for it. Value for money: ⭐️⭐️? - completely overpriced for what you get. The only plus is the location; there are many other hotels elsewhere in the city that have pools.
Room hadn’t been cleaned properly, found last guest's perfume bottle left behind! Very outdated decor in the room, only 2-3 stars ⭐️ max in my opinion. Location is good but the rooms felt like traveling cheap. I requested room cleaning and it didn't happen for 3 days. Reception staff were friendly and helpful, but breakfast was basic. Shower room was full of mould, complete refurbishment is needed for the entire hotel. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.
This place was lovely! The location was superb; it was right near the beach, the mall, different markets, and the historical sites. When we walked into the room, we could smell the freshness of the cleanliness. The windows in the room were stunning and let in a nice view. The air conditioning was great for cooling us off after a day out in the Barcelona sun. The staff were very friendly and spoke perfect English. They helped us with directions and gave us suggestions for food places to try. I truly have nothing negative to say about this accommodation; it's a rarity for me! Book it!
The cost was quite pricy, but the room we stayed in was really nice with an unexpected balcony, offering a delightful view and a great location near the cathedral and nearby cafes. Although the rooms could only fit two people, making it somewhat costly for a family of four, I would still recommend this hotel due to the friendly staff and tasty breakfast.
