Barcelona Hotel Colonial

We really enjoyed our stay at this 4 star hotel located in Barcelona's Gothic Quarter. It's just a short stroll away from La Ramla and the beach, and a mere 5 minutes away from Santa Maria del Mar's lovely square, where you can find great bars and restaurants. The hotel was consistently clean, quiet and comfortable, and the bed and breakfast offered plenty of tasty food options. We'd happily recommend it and would stay again on a return trip.

This 3 stars accommodation is conveniently located near the gothic quarter and is only a short walk to the coast. The staff are knowledgeable, courteous and professional. Transportation is easily accessible from the hotel. Unfortunately, if anything is left behind in the room it will be kept by the staff, even if you contact them about the item soon after check out.

We had an enjoyable stay at Barcelona Hotel Colonial for two nights. The staff was very attentive and the hotel was very clean. We stayed on the 3rd floor and the room had two single beds pushed side by side with a small balcony looking over the Main Street. Everything was very tidy and the room was cleaned each day. While the website claimed soundproofing, we still heard some street noise in the early hours and also could hear people in the neighbouring rooms. Also, keep in mind that there is no kettle or tea and coffee in the rooms as that is not common in Spanish hotels, but there are vending machines with cold drinks and snacks as well as coffee and tea on the ground floor. We opted for the breakfast which was served and it was a great start to our day. All in all it was a pleasant stay at the Barcelona Hotel Colonial.

The Barcelona Colonial Hotel is a fantastic 3-star hotel, next to the beautiful Gothic Quarter. The amenities were all up to standard and the lobby was quite chic. I stayed here for a couple of days, and overall the stay was quite pleasant. Although the hotel claims to be a 4-star, I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great 3-star experience. However, please don't forget anything in the room. I made the mistake of leaving an item and called, as well as sent an e-mail, an hour after checkout, but there was no response. A mail return service for a fee would have been nice but unfortunately, it wasn't offered.

We had a terrible experience at this hotel ??. On the second day of our trip, we noticed that our belongings had mysteriously disappeared ?. When we contacted the staff they were completely unhelpful ?. Even when we checked out, they simply asked us to fill out a complaint form which they ignored for over a month despite numerous follow-up emails ?. Finally, they replied back saying they were unable to help and denied that anything had been taken from our room ?‍♂️. The items were valued at over £100 and they're now refusing to answer any emails. Avoid this place like the plague ☠️?. Terrible service ?!
