Booked a late deal cruise so our preferred hotel had sky high prices. Decided to book a 3* hotel not cheap but in a good location. Got an Airport Bus to Catalunya and a 20 minute walk to our destination. Rooms were modern and comfortable as well as clean. Reception staff were very helpful and let us know which place to go for Tapas. The complimentary continental breakfast was good. We were allowed to leave our bags with them whilst we walked around prior to going to our ship which was about 15 minutes away. Might need a taxi ride if you're traveling with bigger vessels.
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! It was in the perfect spot - close to beach ?, amenities ?, and public transportation ?. Although it was a bit busy, I got a great room on the quieter side of the building ? and had no trouble getting a good night’s rest ? after a long day. The breakfast wasn’t anything to write home about, but the ? internet connection was good and the reception staff was very friendly and helpful ?. All in all it was a great stay, and the beds were ?! It's only 300 meters away from the metro, which made it super convenient.
The perfect base for exploring this amazing city. On a side street off La Rambla, you will find a large marble statue - simply turn left and you're almost there! Don't expect a sea view as the old buildings here are very close together. Earplugs were packed in case it was too noisy but, thankfully, they weren't used. Rooms are not soundproof and the shower does make the bathroom wet - but it's minor. Continental breakfast choices were plentiful and staff were friendly and helpful. This place will definitely be visited again!
Our family had a great stay at the hotel - it was just the right size for three adults. It was very clean and the beds were very comfrotable. We are very impressed with the housekeeping staff and their efforts. The buffet breakfast was definitly the highlight of the stay - it had delicious croissants, almost uncountable amounts of coffee, a great selection of cold cut meats, all different types of yogurts, cheeses, cereals and my favourite, really sweet oranges! The hotel was in a great location, with Las Ramblas just around the corner, and numerous shops and resturants in the nearby alleyways. When we had gotten acustomed to the city, it was really easy to get back to the hotel and when we did, there was a lovely resturant right across the entrance, where we celebrated New Year's Eve!
The Barcelona House Hotel in Barcelona provided me with an excellent location that was perfect for sightseeing. Although the surrounding area was great, there were still a few issues with the hotel. The walls were pape thin which made for a very noisy experience. To make matters worse, blankets were not provided and the pillows were as flat as cardboard. The customer service was non-existent as I was yelled at when trying to take coffee or a roll outside of the breakfast room. The internet went out every 5 minutes which was extremely frustrating. Although the city itself was the main attraction of my trip, this hotel should still strive for the lowest bar of quality hospitality.
