We’re staying at this hotel for 2 nights before our cruise. From the moment we entered, we were welcomed with open arms by the friendly staff, Tatiana at the front desk and Simo helping us get settled in after a long journey. The rooms are spotless and comfortable. Marco at the rooftop bar was a bonus, he was extremely accommodating to our needs. All in all, a very personal experience in this hotel.
The Gothic Quarter is the best place to stay in Barcelona and this hotel was the perfect spot. Close to so much (5 min walk from Metro), but quiet at night. The rooftop bar & pool area were a great bonus. The hotel had a modern feel, maybe recently updated, and was so clean too. The staff were incredible, all so accommodating and English speaking. A special mention to Adam for his daily tips on restaurants and activities in the city. The only downside was the frosted glass bathroom door, which is quite common in Europe. Light floods into the room when the bathroom is used in the middle of the night, which makes no sense.
This 4 Star Hotel uses low level tactics by saying that "our room wasn't ready" BUT they had one for a surcharge of 50 Euros. We had to wait for half an hour before we finally got our room exactly at 15:00. These practices are unacceptable.
I would highly recommend the Catalonia Magdalenes Hotel in Barcelona! Their concierge service is absolutely exceptional and the staff are incredibly helpful. Despite the fact that I don't speak Catalan or Spanish, they went above and beyond to make sure I had all the information I required, be it related to transport or restaurant advice. All staff members impressed me with their excellent command of multiple languages, including English. Furthermore, the hotel itself is absolutely lovely, with comfortable rooms and a delicious breakfast. I highly recommend this great hotel!
This hotel was top-notch! The location was ideal and the staff were incredibly accommodating and welcoming. The roof-top bar was stunning and it was the perfect place to enjoy an evening drink. The food options were also quite delightful. We had such a fantastic stay and are already looking forward to returning! Helen x.
