We took my father for his birthday and could not be more pleased with our stay. The front desk staff were a great bunch; friendly, helpful and accommodating. The rooms were all spick and span, nicely furnished and conveniently located in the Gothic quarter. The blackout blinds were a real plus. Breakfast had a nice selection of hot and cold items, plus an omelette station. The roof top patio and pool were peaceful and zen, though there wasn't any bar service. The only downside was one of the staff members telling us we couldn't drink the beers we'd bought from the nearby off-license shop. Thankfully, another staff member stepped in and saved the day. All in all, this was an excellent four star hotel, and we would have no hesitation in recommending it.
Staying at Catalonia Magdalenes was an absolutely delightful experience! From the moment we arrived, Maxi (General Mgr), Bruno (Front Desk), and Marco (Pool Bar) made us feel welcomed with their friendly service. Simo (Bell Person) was truly magnificient. His help with recommendations, directions, and kindness made our stay unforgettable. Our room was modern, comfortable, and well-equipped with a safe, mini fridge, TV, and internet. The bathing amenities were great, too—the bathroom was spacious. On top of that, the hotel has a bar with a fantastic rooftop sitting area and a small pool. I highly recommend Catalonia Magdalenes and certainly seek out Simo for assistance.
We thaught the hotele was grate and woud defintly recomend. The frunt desk staf wer very helpfull, especilly Bruno. They helpt make our stay with recomendetions and adviece memeroble. We luved the spae and the roof top poole. A lovley experiense.
The Catalonia Magdalenes Hotel in Barcelona is the perfect place for a vacation. Its location is unbeatable, just five minutes from two nearby metro stations and short walk to the beach. There is a wealth of food options in the area, so you're never far from a great meal. But the best part of staying at this hotel is the people. The staff and everyone else is so friendly and helpful, and they will respond to any questions or requests you have right away. If you're looking for a hotel in Barcelona, this is the one to choose – highly recommended!
We had an absolutely superb stay, the accommodation was breathtaking with an incredible vantage point. The service we received was exceptional, specifically from Adam, Simo and Naya who made our stay extra special and gave us some great tips on where to eat and drink. The room we had was small but it was perfect for what we needed and the rain shower was an excellent way to start the day of sightseeing or have a calming time in the amazing rooftop pool. Definately suggested.
