Claris Hotel & Spa GL, a Small Luxury Hotel of the World
About
A very arty 5 star
In city center next to the most beautiful shops of Barcelona and Gaudi’s monuments like “La Perdrera”, Claris G.L. is a very arty 5 star. Over 400 sculptures and paintings are spread throughout the entire hotel, giving guests exclusive encounters with art and design.Rooms have different layouts, from 18th century furniture to contemporary Barcelona designers. They are not too big, but the location of the hotel is worth that con.We love above all, the rooftop terrace with swimming pool and the cool design and quietness of the rooms..

My wife and I stayed at a Small Luxury Hotel of the World for a week in mid March 2023. Everything was great aside from an unwelcome surprise we discovered midway through our stay. We noticed several bites and upon jokingly speculating it might be bed bugs, further investigation revealed all the hallmarks of an infestation. We found Bed Bug Excrement and Stains all along the edges of the mattress. We informed management of our concerns and while we were out the Director of Room conducted an inspection with the Housekeeping Manager. Despite us providing photos and video evidence showing the bed bug egg casings, excrement and stains, they claimed they "did not detect any bugs in the room space, nor in the mattress/bed."
We decided to move on and contacted Hyatt customer service about our experience upon returning home. Doctors and a local pest company both confirmed the bites were from bed bugs and after three months of waiting, Hyatt gave us 30,000 points as compensation–enough to cover only one night at the hotel. We are huge fans of Barcelona and Hyatt, but this experience has us reconsidering booking with none 'Hyatt Branded' hotels.
We stayed at this incredible Small Luxury Hotel of the World during our visit to Barcelona and it was one of the best decisions we could have made. Everything was within a walkable distance, the rooms were extremely clean and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The spa services were exceptional and the breakfast was delicious. The roof top bar was also a cozy spot for us to wind down after a long day exploring the city. We had a great stay overall and we would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Barcelona.
The staff at this hotel were exceptional and the rooms were outstanding. The property offered a quiet refuge in an excellent spot. We felt very welcome and were thoroughly delighted with our stay - it would make a great place for both leisure and business travellers.
The staff at this hotel were wonderful - very accommodating and friendly. I was impressed by the convenient location - walking distance to many tourist attractions like Casa Mila, Casa Batllo and Sagrada Familia. The rooms were spacious and spotless, and I was delighted to find that they even did a turn-down service. The rooftop bar was a great place to relax and take in the atmosphere.
This beautiful boutique hotel has a great location - close to the waterfront and still close to the city. The rooms are very comfortable and spotless, and the staff were extremely helpful. The crowning jewel is the lovely rooftop terrace - it's a great spot to enjoy a few drinks or take in the stunning views. But what really stood out was the service - Carina at the front desk was incredibly friendly and provided us with all the information and assistance we needed. All of the staff were warm and attentive, and it was really appreciated!
