I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this hotel! ?? The staff were extremely friendly and the rooms were freshly refurbished ?. It was also really quiet ? as it's on the residential side. There's lots to do in the area too - you're close to the conference/festival site ?, the beach and promenade ?, and the metro ? isn't far either! Cafe's and other eateries ?are also close by if you get hungry. All in all, I had a really positive experience and would definitely recommend this hotel! ??
I wouldn't rate this establishment as a 4-star hotel, as the rooms are quite basic. The bar/pool area is also quite sparse, and there was no one around to serve food or drinks during the stated opening hours. However, its location is ideal for short stays or overnight visits, since it's quite remote. On a positive note, the two staff members we interacted with were extremely friendly, and my two-year-old absolutely loved them. All in all, I'd stay again, but only for a night or two.
My holiday got off to a good start but the accommodation was lacking in terms of what it had to offer. There was no dinner option, and they did not permit bringing in food from outside shops even though there were no basic food items onsite like olives or bread. The only consumables available were drinks and it was not allowed to consume anything from outside in the common areas. All in all, the service here was not great and I would definitely not suggest this place and I know for sure I won't be returning.
Gust of the Breeze
The lobby of this hotel was impressive but the rooms were quite minimal and dirty. We found hair, holes in the curtains, spiders, and dust when we checked in. The staff was quite unfriendly at the top bar, and there were only around 10 sun loungers. The pool bar was often unstaffed, so we had to wait a long time to get served unless we went to the lobby- and then we waited even longer before someone came to serve us. The manager wasn't very approachable and wouldn't let us bring food or drinks from outside onto the terrace. They advertised meals on their website but all we could get were chips, burgers, and nachos- nothing Spanish, light, or fresh. We didn't have a chance to relax during our stay and can definitely not recommend this place. It is not a 4 star hotel as advertised and needs a lot of work.
This hotel is about a 5 minute walk to the ocean and 10 minutes to the sandy part of the beach. You'll find a variety of restaurants and bars nearby. It is just a 9 minute walk to the nearest metro station, making it easy to explore Barcelona. The room was spotless, with a comfortable bed, a roomy shower, and a safe. The hair dryer wasn't working, but that wasn't too much of an issue because we usually bring our own. We were pleasantly surprised to have a sea view, even though we hadn't requested one. We also arrived before check-in, and our room was already ready. The only suggestion we have is that there should be more drawers for storage and also tea/coffee facilities in the room. The hotel bar is really nice - it is situated in the modern foyer/entrance, and the coffee is delicious. They even offer snacks and pastries which are really good. On the rooftop, there is a pool with a bar and some music, and it boasts views of the sea. We'd like to give a special thank you to Albert, who gave us fantastic customer service with a smile, and even encouraged me to practice my Spanish, even though I'm still learning! All of the other staff were really great - trustworthy, very friendly, and very helpful when we were checking in/out, booking excursions, and arranging airport transport. We would definitely recommend this hotel for its cleanliness, customer service, and its proximity to the beach.
