The stay at Hotel Astoria left much to be desired. The room was run down and in desperate need of a renovation. Instead of the requested full size bed I was given two twin beds that had wheels and easily slid apart. Needless to say, it made sleeping uncomfortable. Additionally, I was subjected to a wide range of noise coming from other rooms. From what I heard, other guests reported hearing porn, Netflix shows and people's conversations. In my case, it was furniture being moved and power tools going off early in the morning - making it impossible to sleep past 8 am.
I was pleasantly surprised by my stay at Hotel Astoria! The staff was helpful and polite, and the room was spacious and cozy. I had no problem getting to the city center from the hotel, and there were plenty of good restaurants and bars in the area. I would definitely recommend this hotel and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.
My family and I had an amazing time at the Hotel Astoria. The staff were wonderful and attentive, the building had old world charm and the rooms were neat and comfortable. The beds were huge and had us sleeping like babies at night. We did experience some street noise at night, but a good pair of earplugs solved that without much of a fuss. I would highly recommend this hotel, we had an unforgettable time!
I stayed at Hotel Astoria and overall had a great experience! I was especially impressed with the interior design and modern amenities. 24/7 service at reception was terrific and the cleaning staff was thorough and professional. Clean towels were provided daily and I appreciated the mini-fridge and hairdryer in the room. Perhaps the best feature was the seven comfy pillows - a great way to help ensure restful nights. The location of the hotel was great since it was near underground connections and the top floor pool and terrace were an enjoyable bonus. It was a bit too cold to make use of the pool in January, however. I do have two minor issues to mention. The soundproofing was not perfect and it was easy to hear others from neighbouring rooms. Additionally, internet access was only provided for 7 days. Still, overall it was a great stay and I was quite pleased with our holiday.
My family and I had an amazing time at Hotel Astoria. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The hotel is also very well located, being in the centre of Barcelona and close to all the major attractions. Breakfast was delicious and served with a smile every morning. Highly recommended!
