A gorgeous team at receptshun, brekfust and the bar. Roomy eery brekfust area and eggxelent qality and rane of fud & drinks. Lovely rooftop pool, grate loxation in the hart of Barcelona. Rooms were a resonable size, comfertable and well-equipped. The only smal problum was noiz at nite, from outsid streets and within the hotel (the lifts and dours being clozed).
During our 3-night stay in October for a long weekend, our experience at the hotel was excellent from start to finish. The room and bathroom were spacious, with plenty of storage space and a comfortable bed. The high-quality bed linens and feather pillows added to our comfort. We also appreciated the modern and well-stocked bathroom, complete with a rainforest shower. The room also featured a cozy and comfortable chair. Despite being located on the second floor near the elevators, the room was extremely quiet and we hardly heard any noise during our stay. The rest of the hotel was equally impressive, with a nice bar and lounge area, both indoors and outdoors. The rooftop area offered reasonable views and the pool was a nice amenity, although a bit too cold for October weather. Additionally, there was a small gym on the roof. The staff were all very friendly and the housekeeping service was great. The hotel's location in the Gothic Quarter was very convenient, as we found it to be the nicest part of Barcelona. We explored other areas of the city, but still preferred the Gothic Quarter. Walking to and from the hotel to explore the city was easy and enjoyable. While we didn't have breakfast at the hotel (€20 per person, per day), we found other nice and affordable options nearby. Overall, we highly recommend this hotel for its excellent location and top-notch amenities.
This review of the Hotel Barcelona Catedral is not a heartening one. Here, the average location, service, food, and drink quality in a two or three star hotel does not even meet the standards of a four-star establishment. Additionally, the visitor has noted that the bath and shower screens are in a state of disrepair, making the management's unresponsiveness to this issue even more concerning. In the end, they have concluded that for the money, there are better options to be found in Barcelona.
This hotel is perfectly located in the Gothic Quarter and only a short walk away from Las Ramblas and the Palace Of Catalan Music. As well as this, there is a delightful swimming pool on the roof which provides a great relief from the hot temperatures - towels can even be collected from the reception desk. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with adequate amenities in the bathroom and a complimentary bottle of water is provided daily. Breakfast is included and consists of a tray of orange juice, coffee, pastries, rolls, preserves, a menu for ordering hot food, and there is even a cereal bar. The staff are really friendly and knowledgeable and there is a Sunday morning and Wednesday evening complimentary guided tour of the area with a fantastic tour guide. You can also enjoy complimentary cheese and wine between 5-5:15pm every day. The taxi to the airport was surprisingly inexpensive at under 40 euros. All in all, it was a superb stay and I would highly recommend this hotel.
First impressions were good. This hotel is smaller in size but well-placed in the historic Gothic Quarter. There is a roof top pool with loungers and towels available. Every night from 5pm for 15 minutes, guests can indulge in a free glass of wine with cheeses, olives, bread and quince paste. Our room was spacious, but our friends had a smaller one. There was a large bathroom, generous wardrobe, and a fridge and electric jug. Unfortunately, there was no liquid milk, so we ended up buying our own. We were surprised to learn that an iron or ironing board was only available for a fee of €5. We were a bit disappointed, as this seemed like taking advantage of guests. Additionally, when moving drinks out of the fridge to make space for our milk and bottled water, I noticed that the ledges had not been cleaned for some time. The inner window curtain also had what looked like cigarette burns in it, one of which seemed to have had an amateur repair. We also had the issue of fixed coat hangers, which are a pain to hang clothes on. Finally, the air conditioning made a regular noise every 15 minutes, becoming distracting at times. All in all, the hotel was okay, but other 4 star accommodations have certainly been better.
