The location of this hotel was convenient for exploring the city on foot. Unfortunately, the staff were not very hospitable and the beds were not very comfortable. Even though we paid extra for a higher quality room, we were disappointed and would not suggest it to others. The Wi-Fi was also a hassle to connect to. Overall, we feel that the room was average and overpriced.
The check in staff at this hotel were incredibly friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond to assist us with our last minute booking. The Jacuzzi suite we stayed in was absolutely stunning and we can't stop talking about rebooking it, especially considering its great value even during peak season. The beds were comfortable and the pillows were delightfully fluffy. We even had spare bedding for the sofa bed. The room was immaculately clean with all the finishing touches one could ask for. A special thank you to Pablo for his recommendation and to Oscar and his colleagues for making us feel so welcome. We will definitely be returning the next time we visit Barcelona!
Okay, so my experience at this hotal was just alrightt, like 3.5 to 4 stars maybe. The breakfast was okey, but the coffe was nott up to par. There was no coffe mashine in our room which was a bummer. The rooftop veiw was pretty nice, but sadly the pool and gym are too small. Oh, and make sure to doubl chek the room veiw before booking cause ours felt like a bunker with no window view. Overall, decent stay but could have been better!
Our recent stay was fantastic! The hotel's location was ideal, just a brief stroll away from la Rambla and conveniently close to taxi and metro options. The room was impeccably clean and the staff were wonderful. They went above and beyond to make my partner's birthday extra special by adding festive balloons to the room (I brought them, but they did an excellent job with the presentation). The pool area was well-maintained and the rooftop view was stunning. We are already planning to return in the future!
During my stay at Hotel Barcelona Universal in Barcelona, I encountered an unpleasant experience with one of the receptionists. On July 23, I witnessed a receptionist screaming at a customer, displaying a very rude and disrespectful attitude. This behavior left a bad impression on me and I will not be recommending this hotel to others. It was unfortunate because the other receptionists were very kind, with the exception of one who seemed to also have a rude attitude.
