The staff here are incredibly hospitable and make you feel right at home. The breakfast in the gorgeous interior garden is divine and the rooms are incredibly spacious. They go above and beyond what you'd expect from a five star hotel, with a delicious rooftop restaurant with amazing views. The hotel is situated in a great spot in the heart of Barcelona.
Exceptional service and hospitality made our stay at this hotel a pleasure. The breakfast spread was outstanding, met our every need. We requested a family room for our family of four and were delighted to find it spacious and comfortable. Checking in late at night was a breeze, and the staff even arranged for Covid tests for our kids right in our room in accordance with the requirements of their upcoming cruise.
We recently returned from a 5 night stay at a luxurious hotel affiliated with Leading Hotels of the World. We had high hopes, as we were hoping to enjoy an old world experience, with refined service, to celebrate a milestone anniversary. Unfortunately, the property did not meet our expectations. Though the lobby appeared grand and opulent, the rooms were small and tired. Furthermore, the hotel seemed to cater to extended families with poorly behaved children running around and adults behaving mindlessly.
We stayed at another hotel, but we made a special trip here for the tea experience in the dining/bar area. After a few attempts to contact them, our reservation was finally confirmed. We arrived and there seemed to be some confusion about our time, although nothing was re-scheduled. Thankfully, we had our physical tickets and were able to get seated. We arrived right after opening (at 4pm), so it was nearly empty, which was nice. There was a lovely live piano, and no one hurried us out. The food was delicious and there was plenty of it.
This hotel has an excellent location and a fascinating history! It has been lovingly restored and looks absolutely stunning. The room was spacious and the decor was gorgeous. The staff did an outstanding job of making our stay truly memorable. From the doorman to the reception, to the restaurant staff and the concierge, everyone was extremely helpful and friendly. We felt like our stay was so special that we almost shed a tear when it was over, and we would definitely love to come back someday! This hotel is a real gem!
