The lobby lounge was great place to gather with friends
I recently had the great pleasure of staying at the Hotel El Palace Barcelona and I can highly recommend it! The hotel has not lost any of its classic old-world charm and has preserved its grandeur from when it was first built as the Ritz Barcelona in 1919. It's as if you've been transported back in time as you walk through the magnificent lobby with its iron grill work displaying R for Ritz! The staff warmly welcomed us and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay. The location was ideal for day trips to La Sagrada Familia, Park Guell, the Palau de Musica, and the Gothic Quarter - all reachable by cab or foot. Overall, this is truly one of the grandest hotels I've had the pleasure of staying at, and I would definitely visit again!
She helped us to book some of the best restaurants , did our check in and check out very promptly. Rooms were also excellent, very clean and well maintained. Highly recommend to stay at this hotel - Very Good Value For Money
We recently enjoyed our stay at Hotel El Palace Barcelona. Its super excellent facilities, combined with its proximity to the best attractions in Barcelona, made it the perfect hotel for us. We were especially grateful for the friendly hotel staff, especially Ms Amal Naimi at the Guest Relation Dept. She was so helpful and efficient in booking our restaurant reservations, checking us in and out; it was incredibly appreciated. The rooms were also perfectly clean and well maintained. We would highly recommend staying here for anyone visiting Barcelona, as it's an amazing value for money.
We stayed at Hotel El Palace Barcelona in the family suite and were very pleased. From the moment we arrived, the staff were very accommodating and attentive and the rooms were luxurious, with perfect service and fabulous bedding. We were delighted with their thoughtful welcome touches, such as champagne and snacks for a special birthday, and departing gifts for us all. Although the location was good, the outdated carpets and colour scheme were a bit off-putting, with clashing patterns. But the breakfast was extensive and served in an interesting room. The rooftop bar was a little strange; the pool area and restaurant always had loud music playing that didn’t fit the atmosphere of the hotel. Food up there was a bit hit and miss. All in all, we had a very pleasant stay.
Stayed at the El Palace and it was a truly amazing experience. The moment you walk in you can feel the grandeur of the hotel. It was formerly a Ritz hotel and it's easy to see why. It's a kind of old world splendour that I haven't seen in many other places. The rooms are cosy and recently renovated, yet still have that traditional charm. What's even more impressive is how peaceful the public areas remain, even when the hotel is full. The breakfast was outstanding and the service from the reception desk staff to housekeeping was top notch. We will definitely be returning soon!
The bed was comfortable, however there were two only two pillows instead of four.
We were disappointed with the service of the hotel el palace, however, the overall impression was still positive. We had the opportunity to take part in the daily afternoon tea, which was a nice perk. The breakfast was plentiful, with a fantastic variety of traditional Spanish dishes. It was lovely to see such attention to detail, as the dishes were all prepared with fresh ingredients. We also made use of the spa facilities which were well-maintained and clean. We only had one complaint from our stay - the main restaurant was overbooked and we had to wait for over an hour for a table.
All in all, our stay at Hotel El Palace Barcelona was a pleasant one. We were impressed by the beautiful architecture of the building and its unique design. The helpful staff, clean rooms, and great breakfast were all positives, even if we had to wait a while to eat some dinner. We were thankful to have stayed at the hotel, and we would recommend it to others who are looking for a comfortable place to stay in Barcelona.
