This classic hotel, situated on the famous Gran Via, offers a great location near the upmarket shopping district and is within walking distance of some of Barcelona's top attractions. From the moment you arrive, you're met by the friendly and professional staff and enveloped in classic art deco luxury. Our Superior King room with city view was spacious, boasting a double sink bathroom with bath and shower. The sumptuous breakfast buffet was served in a stylish setting with the option to eat inside or outside. Plus, the onsite bar is stunning and a cocktail in the rooftop bar is highly recommended, as its magnificent views of the cityscape are unforgettable. We loved our stay here and it was definitely our favorite hotel during our 15 day journey around Spain.
I recently had the opportunity to stay in a wonderful hotel in Barcelona. From the moment you stepped inside, you felt as if you were in another world. The atmosphere was incredible and the welcome was warm and personal. The rooms were incredibly well-appointed with everything you could dream of and the beds were incredibly comfortable with sheets that you never wanted to leave. The rooftop provided spectacular views of the city, and the bar and restaurant had excellent service and delicious food and cocktails. The breakfast was full of amazing options in a beautiful setting with impeccable service. The price may be a bit higher than usual, but if you're looking for a luxurious experience, then this is the place to be. It was conveniently located near everything, and the area was gorgeous. I'm not sure if I'll have the chance to return to Spain anytime soon, but if I do, I would love to stay here again. It was an absolute treat.
This gorgeous establishment provided us with an amazing experience. Everywhere we looked, we were surrounded by a beautiful atmosphere and top-notch amenities. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, and our suite was comfortably peaceful - not to mention the amazing walk-in closet! The downstairs restaurant blew us away with its flawless service and artful cuisine. We also had great fun at both the rooftop and downstairs bars, and were delighted by the drinks selection. As the hotel boasts a long history, we weren't surprised to find that setting and maintenance were both of the highest standards.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this exquisite place. Everyone was incredibly kind and helpful, making us feel as if we had returned to the luxurious hotels of yesteryear. This was our first time in Spain and after a two-week road trip up the coast from Seville, this was the perfect place to stay before boarding a Windstar cruise to Athens.

We had a very enjoyable stay recently, and cannot recommend this establishment enough. It is very centrally located, which gave us easy access to a lot of what Barcelona has to offer. The staff were all highly professional, efficient and friendly throughout. The rooftop bar had amazing views of the city, plus a wonderful atmosphere. The lobby bar was also perfect for a post dinner drink. We didn't try the restaurant, but breakfast each morning was delicious and had a great variety of choices. The room was comfortable and remarkably quiet, even though it overlooked one of Barcelona’s main thoroughfares. The bed was really comfortable and included some nice touches, such as a travel adapter and an umbrella which was really useful in the afternoon downpour! If you're looking for a Nespresso machine, these are complimentary but you need to ask housekeeping to bring one to the room. Our request to have our rooms close to one another was met and the concierge was incredibly helpful in pointing us in the direction of great restaurants to visit – including an excellent Argentinian restaurant and a brilliant tapas bar just a two block walk away. The check in and out processes were efficient and the lobby staff were very welcoming and professional. We witnessed the concierges dealing with a ‘difficult’ guest, and they carried out their duties with courtesy and respect.
