Hotel Granados 83, a Member of Design Hotels
About
Rooms conceived as lofts
Opened early 2006, this original hotel was an old hospital. The dimensions are therefore unusual with rooms conceived as lofts in an Art Nouveau style, joining iron and apparent stone walls, wells of vertical light, all in a great Asian Zen influence very relaxing. Archetype of design hotels, the hotel has taken its place among the hotels in vogue in Barcelona. It is also ideally placed close to La Ramblas and the Paseo de Gracia. To discover!

The location of this hotel was ideal. The staff was welcoming and accommodating. The balcony had pleasant views, however, the rooms were on the small side. The bath tub had a window that was poorly designed - it was challenging to get in and out. The pool was tiny, and the rooftop bar was equally small. Unfortunately, the price of the room was not justified by the amenities - it was not good value for money.
I highly recommend this accommodation. The rooms are beautifully designed and recently updated. You can easily walk to a variety of excellent eateries. Moreover, the staff were both helpful and pleasant. It makes the perfect base for any trip.
This was an absolutely wonderful stay in Barcelona! Located in a great area, just a few blocks from Passeig de Gracia and Diagonal metro station, this hotel has modern yet classy and artistic vibes. The helpful staff was truly a plus, and the rooftop pool area was small but sufficient during an amazing time in the city. We would definitely stay here again!
I stayed at Hotel Granados 83, a Member of Design Hotels and I had a wonderful experience. The two-level family suite was spacious enough to easily fit my two 5ft7 kids on the comfortable sofas. The room service and location of the hotel were also of top quality. The pool was a great way to cool off in the heat and the terrace provided a nice retreat from the bustling city of Barcelona. I'll definitely be returning to the hotel in the near future.
We would thoroughly recommend this place as a pre or post cruise stay. Upon arrival, we were met outside and our cases were taken into the hotel. The receptionist was extremely helpful and gave us useful hints and tips about the area. Even though our rooms were not yet ready, we were offered the luggage room to store our cases so we could start our experience without lugging our suitcases around. The hotel is very modern and clean with a wonderful scent. The Bar Terrace on Level A was the outstanding feature, although it was smaller than expected with just a few deck chairs and sofas. The Bar Tender was exceptional; his knowledge of wines and champagnes, his friendliness, his recommendations for places to eat and drink were some of the best service we have had. He even introduced us to local wines and cava that we plan to purchase back home. The only criticism of the hotel would be the breakfast service; the first morning was great but on the second morning the buffet wasn't replenished often and the hotel choice was mostly cold or not cooked. The waiting staff were very apologetic and it's clear that they had to handle a few complaints. All in all, we would definitely return and recommend it to those who are looking for a pre or post cruise stay. We would give the Bar service 10/10 and the restaurant service 7/10.
