I have booked REC Life XL 216 with breakfast, and I was pleased with the accommodations. The room was spacious and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The breakfast was acceptable; nothing special, but certainly edible. The view from the rooftop was absolutely breathtaking. Unfortunately, the noise levels were quite loud; not only was the bar nearby, but the pedestrians walking past the hotel and talking until late, created significant noise pollution. I would not recommend booking this particular room type for those seeking a peaceful stay, unless you are sleeping after 2am.
We stayed at this Adults Only hotel for 3 nights. Although the rooms were on the small side, with the emerald green color scheme being an acquired taste, these were the only mild negatives. The bed was comfy with plenty of pillows, and the staff were pleasant. Amenities were good and there were lots of TV channels for those times when you're in your room. The location had excellent access to the Gothic Quarter and the waterfront, though the touristy area next door is unfortunately a hotspot for pickpockets. Late one night after a football match, we were dropped off a few blocks away and were followed by a male who may have been trying to get information from us. We were warned by hotel staff to not leave our phones visible at restaurants and other places, as they could easily be taken.
I had an amazing stay at this hotel. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the rooms were very clean and spacious. It was in the perfect spot in El Born, where there were so many places to explore on foot. I would highly recommend it and would be happy to return.
This was our fourth visit to the wonderful city of Barcelona, and we decided to try a different hotel each time. Our stay at the latest one didn't let us down and we were met with friendly and helpful staff upon our arrival, who even offered us a complimentary drink. Our room overlooked the street but we could hardly tell, and it was complete with the most comfortable bed we have ever experienced in a hotel. The location was excellent and within close proximity to the Gothic Quarter, right next to the Arc de Triomf, and close to a park. We especially enjoyed the terrace and its incredible views of the city, and although the pool area was being serviced at the time of our visit, it looked like a great place to relax and take a dip. We would highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking to visit Barcelona.
This stay at the Hotel Rec Barcelona - Adults Only was wonderful! The ideal location was only a 30-minute walk away from some of the most popular attractions in Barcelona, making it easy to explore the city. Not to mention, the rooms were extremely comfortable and clean, with huge beds that could ensure a restful sleep. The staff was incredibly friendly and all-in-all it was a great experience. I would highly recommend this hotel!
