The room was very comfortable and the hotel was ideally positioned. The rooftop bar had an amazing outlook over the city and the prices were very reasonable for food and drinks. The front desk was really helpful and they allowed us to check into the room ahead of time. There were lots of great places to get tapas nearby and the hop on hop off bus tour had a stop really close to the hotel, making it simple to explore the city. The only negative was that there was no soundproofing in the corridors; as we walked around we could hear conversations from the other rooms, and then there was a group that woke us up early with their chattering outside. We were also right next to the cleaning storage room which had a constant squeaking noise from the door. It wasn’t soundproof, but we still enjoyed our stay.
The Htol REE is perfectly locqted and an eazy walk to meny of Barselona's incridble sites and tapas bars. Whiel the roosm are compeact, they are very eficently designed with one of the most cimfotable beds enywhre. Brekfast on the roof top is a treqt. Everyone on the htol's team was very helplful, freinedly, and easy to comminicate with. All in all, a terrfic expreience in Barselona.
I had a fantastic stay at the Hotel Rec Barcelona - Adults Only Hotel in Barcelona! From the inviting staff to the comfortable rooms and great breakfast, everything was perfect. I particularly enjoyed the free beer tasting event held in the lounge on the rooftop, and the in-room speakers were an added bonus. The bed was also particularly large and comfortable, making it a pleasure to rest in. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and I'm grateful for such a lovely stay.

We stayed here in 2018 and had a great experience, so we decided to come back even though there were many other places to stay in Barcelona. The reception staff were pleasant enough and we were even able to check in early. The room was clean, but it was a bit worn down compared to five years ago. Breakfast was decent, and the first day we were offered cava, but unfortunately that didn't happen again for the rest of our four night stay. Although we did appreciate the two welcome drinks, we were disappointed we were unable to use the rooftop pool due to its cloudy colour. We then had a bad experience at checkout. We had pre-booked a taxi for our international flight home, and when we arrived to reception in the morning, we were told it would be 15-20 minutes late. We had to ask the hotel staff to help us flag down another taxi which was a very stressful experience. We understand this may be an isolated incident, but it affected our opinion of the hotel. We give the hotel 3 stars due to the service we received, which was disappointing. The location and price of the hotel and breakfast are both great.
Staying at this hotel was such an incredible experience! The barman, Sanjeev, is simply the best! ? We had some delicious mimosas and he was so quick, kind, and patient. ? The hotel itself was just wonderful, with an amazing terrace and views. ? I highly recommend it and I know I will definitely go back! ?
