The location of this hotel is in a square that is teeming with homeless individuals and pickpockets, so caution is advised. Despite this, our stay was enjoyable because of the beautiful and well-maintained room. However, the reception staff were not welcoming and appeared disinterested. The thin walls made it difficult to escape noise from neighboring rooms. That being said, the hotel's proximity to everything is perfect and cannot be faulted.
My stay at Hotel Sant Agustí in Barcelona was absolutely fantastic. Despite some negative comments about the location, I found it to be conveniently situated just a short walk away from la Rambla. The hotel is situated on a charming square and I was not at all bothered by the presence of rough sleepers. In fact, I found the location to be safe and not frightening at all. The hotel's location was ideal as it was just a few minutes away from shops, tapas bars, and the Metro. On top of that, the hotel was always spotlessly clean and our room, although small, had all the necessary amenities including an in-room safe. The shower was nice and the bed was comfortable. The front desk staff were always extremely helpful and even arranged for a prompt taxi to take us to the cruise terminal upon our request. I highly recommend Hotel Sant Agustí to anyone visiting Barcelona.
Don't let the criticisms about the hotel's location discourage you. The hotel is situated on a charming square that may have some people sleeping rough, but it's not at all daunting. The location is fantastic - just a short stroll away from the incredible Boqueria Market. Stop by and stock up on delicious food for a picnic! The hotel was impeccably clean and our room, though small, had everything we needed. There were plenty of outlets and lights, a TV, safe, and air conditioning. The shower was also great. Before we left, my partner accidentally left his wallet behind. Fortunately, it was found by the housekeeping staff and is now being sent back to us. We appreciate your honesty and eagerness to help.

The location of this hotel was great, but unfortunately upon arrival I was greeted with a homeless person and a bad smell which is unacceptable for a hotel that caters to tourists. Additionally, the room itself was clean and comfortable, but the floor was covered in hair, as if it was never vacuumed. I requested for cleaning but the issue persisted. Lastly, there were no slippers or shower caps provided in the room.
We stayd at Hoteil Sant Augisti and really liked our experienece. The hoteil was nice and clean. Reuglar rooms are compcat, but eifficient. The beds were comfrotable and the room featured an authetic stone wall and Juliutte balcony from it's origimal build over 140 years ago. There was an in-room safe and a small fridege. Nice updeated bathroom amd modern decor. We thoguht it might get luod because we were so close to La Rambla, but it was calm in the eveings. We were litrealy a few builidngs behind la Rambla and a 5 minuet walk (if that) from La Boqueria. There is a plaaz directly in front of the hoteil, connected to Sant Augisti chuch (Parròquia de Sant Agustí) with littel cafés and the loclas would gaher in the morning and you would hear chater and lafs. Our room was dirrectly facing this plaaz and we had the sun facing us in the mornig, very pleasent. We did not have breakfast ther as we were so close to the market, but it is avialble as a small buffet. In the eveings, there are some homelees people that slee close to the chuch, but they never borthered us and we didn't feel 'unsafe'. This pleace is a 6-7 minuet walk to Plaaza de Catalunya, close to the hop on hop off bus stop and lots of merchunts if you want to do some shopping, but also lots of soliciting. There are nice restuarants close by and we would defintly go stay herre again. The staff was very nice and coreteous.....
