This accommodation was quite clean and comfortable ?, however the surrounding area was a bit sketchy ?. Drug addicts, beggars and phone thefts are quite common in the plaza nearby ???. If you're not street smart, it wouldn't be the best place to stay in Barcelona ?♂️, which is a pity because the hotel and the cafes around the square weren't bad at all ??.
We absolutely loved our stay at the Hotel Sant Agustí. Situated in a tranquil square, it is only one block away from the Ramblas, 1.5 blocks from the Liceu subway station and merely one block down the alley from the spectacular Mercado de la Boqueria. Not only does the hotel boast great A/C, which was essential in the heatwave during our trip, but the rooms were also exceptionally modern, peaceful and invitingly comfortable. Characteristic features from the old convent are still present, such as the exposed stone walls, adding a unique charm. On our last night we were delighted by a concert held on the square; we opened the windows of our Juliet balcony and were entranced by the beautiful performance. Although we didn't have breakfast in the hotel due to its high price, there is an excellent bakery directly across the street called Forns del Pi. Here you can find delicious pastries and coffee at a reasonable cost.
They were very accommodating with her food choices, offering her a selection of different vegetarian options and a gluten free option. Great value for money when compared to other hotels in the area. Highly recommended!
I recently visited the lovely Hotel Sant Agustí with my wife and our two young children. The staff were all very attentive and helpful - from the welcoming receptionist, to the helpful and friendly breakfast staff. Our room was beautifully decorated, immaculate and had all the modern facilities and comforts we needed - powerful shower, air conditioning and a wonderful patio area. The breakfast selection was amazing, with an abundance of fresh foods, gluten free options and vegetarian options. Our children were delighted with the range of choices available. We booked directly with the hotel as they offered a very generous discount which was better than booking through a third party website and we were very pleased with the value for money. Highly recommended and we will definitely be returning!
I was disappointed with my experience at Hotel Sant Agustí. Although close to the Metro station and rambla, the hotel was very noisy due to the influx of tourist traffic. Even with the windows closed, there was a lot of noise from the street that made it hard to sleep. The rooms were modern and quite small. The internet worked well, but for the price I paid (more than 160 eur) I was expecting a better stay.
This hotel was in a convenient spot close to the Ramblas. The premier room in the roof was just as described. The housekeeping staff worked tirelessly to keep the room clean and it was equipped with a small fridge for keeping drinks cold. The reception staff was all male, but although they didn't give much in the way of personable acknowledgement they were friendly and helpful. The outside area did need some maintaining, there were no plants at the door which was a bit of a shame, but the square was scruffy and unkempt. All in all, it was a pleasant stay.
