What a fantastic experience! My group and I were unable to secure a room at the hotel, but I have to give a huge shout out to Pablo and his staff for their exceptional service. They were incredibly professional, accommodating, and kind. Even though they were fully booked, Pablo went above and beyond to find us another hotel for the night, even arranging for parking since we were in need of a place to stay before our cruise. The room we were given was absolutely stunning and we are already planning to come back. It's clear that this hotel chain maintains a high standard of excellence. We are so grateful for their amazing hospitality.
Our stay at Hotel Soho in Barcelona was unfortunately not quite up to our expectations. While the staff at the front desk, especially Frederick, were friendly and helpful, we were disappointed with the overall quality of our room. In particular, the cleanliness was lacking and the lighting was inadequate. The bed was not made upon our arrival and we struggled to find a comfortable temperature with the air conditioning and heating controls. The bathroom also had a flickering light located at your feet, and the toilet was uncomfortably high. We suspect there may have been bedbugs in the bed as we both experienced persistent itching afterwards, and unfortunately my wife even ended up with an eye infection and ulcer. The only saving grace was the hotel's convenient location. However, for over £400.00 for just two nights, we expected a higher level of quality. Needless to say, we were not satisfied with our stay at Hotel Soho.
The reception at this hotel was probably the best I've ever experienced. The staff were always friendly and attentive. The other aspects were decent enough. The breakfast was average and the rooms were only partially cleaned. It wasn't terrible, but nothing standout either. I've stayed here before and while I may return, I'll likely explore other options. However, I must mention the exceptional service at the front desk once again.
I had a wonderful experience during my stay in this hotel. My partner and I were pleasantly surprised to receive an upgrade to a spacious room with a terrace, complete with a bottle of champagne to celebrate our recent wedding. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the shower was fantastic. The room itself was well-appointed and had plenty of space. The air conditioning worked perfectly and was able to quickly cool the room down, even when we forgot to leave it on. We appreciated the hotel's excellent security measures - in the event that there was no one at the front desk, the door was always locked and could be easily accessed by ringing the bell. This gave us peace of mind, especially after hearing about thefts at other hotels in the area. Additionally, the room had a safe which we used with no issues. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, providing us with great recommendations for places to eat and tips for getting around the city. The entire hotel was immaculate and we will certainly consider staying here again on our next visit to Barcelona. A huge thank you to all the staff for making our stay truly delightful! :)
I stayed at the Hotel Soho in Barcelona and was deeply disappointed with my accommodation experience. Despite booking a room with a regular window, I was assigned a room with an internal window and was denied a change when I asked for one due to room unavailability. When I requested a room with a single large bed, I was given a room that two small beds pushed together, not a true single large bed. Most concerning of all, there was no way to lock the door and when I reported this issue, the staff merely reassured me that it was not a problem and no one would enter. After insisting on a change, they moved me to a room with a regular window and an actual large bed. It is clear that the reception staff didn't seem genuinely concerned about customer needs even when suitable rooms were available and I am left with a serious security risk. I am therefore considering providing feedback and lodging a complaint with the relevant authorities.
