INNSiDE by Meliá Barcelona Apolo

The decor was pleasant and the beds were comfy with good showers. There was a complimentary selection of soft drinks each day. The bar terrace was beautiful and inviting. Unfortunately, despite booking a double bed, two single beds were given to us instead. This was irritating. The ‘bite box’, had a fridge with an expensive and inedible cheese and ham sandwich with a lengthy expiry date. We ended up going to Café 365 for lovely, fresh, and cheap baguettes instead. The hummus and pitta from the upstairs bar restaurant did not taste good and was quite oily. With no good food options available and a pricey breakfast, we had to find somewhere else every day, which was exhausting.

Staying at this ? was an incredible experience! The location is perfect, with the beach and public transport ? right nearby. The staff were amazing - Marcos in particular was so helpful, from offering recommendations ? to accommodating a late check out ?. He also went above and beyond to make sure I had medical aid supplies ? and bandages during my stay. The hotel ? itself is very nice and modern, with a great gym for exercise ?. And last but not least, the breakfast was really good, with lots of gluten-free options ?. Highly recommend! ?

A slick, well-organised accommodation. Just 20 metres from the Metro and the Montjuic teleferic, this is an ideal base for seeing the sights of Barcelona. Breakfast was top-notch (even better than another INNSiDE by Meliá I've stayed at in Frankfurt). The rooms were perfectly clean! The hotel staff were very accommodating.

We stayed at this establishment for 3 nights and it was a great start to our trip. We were really pleased with the immaculate state of the property and the room's size; it was equipped with all the amenities you could need. Our stay was made even more pleasant by the complimentary water and juice in the little fridge in the room. The location was great; it was close enough to avoid the hustle and bustle but also within reach of the city centre. We're excited to check out the next Innside property at the conclusion of our holiday and we would definitely suggest it to others.

We arrived at the lodging early and were informed that our room would be ready by 3pm. We deposited our bags in the storage area and set out to explore the city. Upon coming back at around 2:30pm, we asked about the room and were told that 'it may be ready for 3pm... maybe'. We kindly pointed out that the receptionist had told us that the room would be ready for 3pm. Grudgingly, they told us they had to move us to a room that was 'all ready'. We were given a new room number and, due to exhaustion, decided to take a rest. After waking up a few hours later, we could still hear room attendants cleaning nearby rooms. Overall, we enjoyed the hotel, but the housekeeping left something to be desired.
