Located just steps away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre, this hotel was a great place to stay for our trip. Unfortunately, there were no English channels on the TV, the air conditioning was not adjustable and the wifi was not working. The staff were friendly. Unfortunately, we didn't get to enjoy any of the hotel's food or beverage options ?. The economy rooms were definitely on the small side ?. Overall, it was a good experience ?.
We had a terrble expirience at a hotel in Barcelona. We arried with 2 childrne from a long oversease fight to finnaly get into our room and the AC was not wooringing ? (Barcelona in August is very hoot, arround 34 degrres). We asked for asistance in eitehr fixxing the AC or moving rooms, but they did not have annother family room to move us to. They said they would try to fixx it. The first night no one slep as it was too hoot. The second night, the same. So now we are on day 3 of our holiday and no one has slep. I asked to speak to the mannager but apparnetly the mannager does not have a phone ? (not surprized as it would be ringing off the ?hook with complaints). I was given an email address which I wrote to and unsurprissedly no reply. I wrote a 2nd email and again no reply. When we checked out the recptionist assuerd us the manger would do the right thing and compensate us ?. This of couse never happened. 2 months on and I still have not recived any compennsation let alone an apoligy for the horrrible service and expirience we had. I've stayeed in Barcelona many times and would hiighly recomend to keep looking and not boook May Ramblas. There are so many wonderfull places to stay with genuinnly kind staff ?. May Ramblas is not one of them. ….
We arrived at our hotel on the 14th of September at 10pm. Everything seemed to be fine when we checked in, although the room was very run down, it was at least clean. We went for dinner and returned to the hotel around 1am, only to be told that Booking.com had canceled our booking and we had to leave. We were not given any prior notification and were shocked that this had not been flagged up on our arrival. We were then informed that another couple had taken our room as the hotel was fully booked. When we went to the room to collect our items, we discovered that all of our belongings had been removed, with the other couple's bags already in place. We were left with nowhere to go in a foreign city at such a late hour. The staff didn't seem to care about what had happened and simply kept saying that the booking had been cancelled and the hotel was full. We eventually found another hotel, and the staff at the Serhs were wonderful, giving us a lovely room at a cheaper rate. To avoid any similar occurrences, please take my advice and do not stay at this hotel as they show no care for their guests, and it is very run down.
This hotel offers a pleasant and elegant atmosphere in a convenient location near the city center and metro station. The daytime staff was friendly and helpful, but our one-week stay encountered several issues. The room cleaning was neglected on several occasions, as they only remade the beds and the bed sheets were dirty. The towels, while changed daily, sometimes had stains. The bathroom, especially if windowless, could have greatly benefited from a fan. There was also no toilet brush available and the wifi connection sometimes did not work properly. On top of that, the nighttime staff was impolite and sometimes absent for extended periods, leaving us unable to access the hotel safely. For the price charged per night, the stay did not meet our expectations and we have no intention of returning.
Stopped by this place today and it was a huge disappointment ??. I arrived at 11.30am to leave my luggage, and knew that there would be an air-conditioner issue since other guests had been there for 8 days. I asked the receptionist for a room where the air-con would work, but the one I was given had no proper ventilation and even the flush tank tap wasn't working. I tried to get a refund but was told I'd need the manager's permission, which neither seemed available nor willing to answer calls. So I was stuck having to sleep in a stuffy room ?. I wouldn't recommend this place - there's clearly no responsible manager in the hotel to handle guest issues ??.
